The Dorg Days of Summer
I’ve missed the ORG lately, but it seems we’re all pretty busy right now and ORG-time is hard to come by. Cheri and Sam are in Houston…actually, I think they’re airborne now and headed for Savannah, GA to join Tom and Anne, Teresa, Doug, Rebecca and Tom at Hilton Head. Jake and I miss them already (not to mention the cats who alternate between moping and caterwauling). We had hoped to make it to Homer for the big luau, it just wasn’t in the cards…I have miles to go on the Fly Right project and have to wrap it by Tuesday morning.
Am going to load a slug of pics. Some of these iPhone pics go back a ways, but they’re kinda fun. Best get back to work here, but it’s been fun to spend a little time on the ORG. Looking forward to pics/posts from Homer and Hilton Head (from the end of the road to the edge of the continent)…wish we were there AND there! Love, J/D/GP p.s. that last pic is sam, his friend nick, and the kelly cup trophy just before last night’s game with the South Carolina Stingrays (we lost a heartbreaker 4-2 after being up 2-1 at the end of 2 periods). cheri and sam will be going to at least ONE of the game back there in SC next week. gonna be a tough series).

this is Sam coming to you live from Hilton Head South Carolina. just checking in on the org. nice job on the post dad (John). The weather is cloudy but not too much rain. The beach and the ocean is nice. We went biking around (we even biked on the beach). All around its been pretty fun.

hey sam! great to hear from you…nice comment. jake, jon and i just got back from star trek. it’s really good…maybe you can see it back there if you have a rainy day and someone else wants to go. sounds like you’re having a really fun vacation…the bikes sound perfect. jake and i really miss you (not to mention rufus!)…he’s doing pretty good for an old cat…he likes this warm weather. the NASCAR race in north carolina got rained out today (lowes motor speedway)…i thought about you guys. it was nice, then rain, then nice…they kept trying to start it, but every time they fired up, it started raining again. kinda funny. more soon, sam…maybe we can talk a little tomorrow on the phone. love, dad P.S. tell mom the pictures didn’t come through on the email. not sure what happened…the emails arrived, but no pics attached.

Summer sure has gotten off to a lovely start. It has been fun having Isaac and Mandi up. We had a great weekend in Homer. Marina had a great time playing with Madeline and Makenna and Nathan had two boys to play with at the luau and Ashton to play with the day before. It was a fabulous trip.
