Jacque and Willy’s wedding pictures, finally!
Hi everyone, this is Deb. I haven’t registered yet so I’m posting under Katie. Sorry it took so long to get these posted. These are the pictures taken with our camera at the wedding in Vegas and the reception in Seattle. We got the camera the night before we left for Vegas and were still learning how to use it, so some of the pictures aren’t the best. I will post the professional pictures from the ceremony when I get them from Willy. Hope everyone is doing well. I think of you often.
Love,
Deb

HEY DEB! These are GREAT! Am just getting ready to head out to football practice (Sam’s), but looking forward to having more time to check these out further. There are some wonderful moments here, though…including some fun expressions and so forth in the background on some of them
Anyhow, I gotta scoot, but thanks for a great post…pic uploads are a lot of work sure worth it on this one! Also, would LOVE to catch up on the election…I think of you every time I watch Keith O (which is most every day)…I don’t know WHAT he’s going to do after the election…maybe go back to ESPN. Ha. More soon. love, jack

Thanks so much for the photos! I really like all the couples/pairs.
Since Deb used the other photo upload method you can click through and leave comments for each photo…

Hey Deb:
So far-out to see you on the org. Let’s get you registered, eh? I am so impressed with your post….great photos and I only wish I could do such a good job. I am hoping to master it this winter. Still pretty busy here. Sure wish we could have made it to the wedding or the reception, but just was not possible. Will catch up with Willy and Jacque soon and wish them the best. In the meantime, THANKS for taking the time to share the big event with all of us. In many ways, this website is how many of us cope with the fact that we are so far-flung. Hope all of you are enjoying better weather than our stormy, rainy night here. Love, Pete

Deb, did you get my email with your wedin.org username? If you don’t like that one I can set you up with a different one - it can be as creative as you’d like…
October 10th, 2008 at 2:05 pm
Thank you, Isaac for registering me…the user name and password are fine.
And Peter thanks for the complement on the post but I can’t take credit for that…that was all Katie’s work and I thought she did a good job too. Anyhoo we’ll see
what happens when I’m flying solo!

Hey Deb:
This is so COOL….now you and I need to find the guy that assigned those avatars to our comment signature and draw some mustaches on his!
We can change those and he will help us…check out his comment of Oct. 7th under the post “Weekend in Homer”. I just have to figure out how to retrieve a suitable face shot. Anyhow, Debra and I will try to get out fishing and get some more king salmon. If we get lucky, we’ll have some to share. You all have a great weekend. Love, Pete

Cool discovery dad - with your name in lowercase you didn’t get the Horned Loogy - did you log in to post that comment? I think it goes by email address, so you might want to check your profile to see what email address you’re using there.
To set up an avatar head over to gravatar.com and sign up using the email address you use at wedin.org. Then upload a photo to crop for your avatar. The upload will be easier and faster if you resize and crop the photo to around a 300 pixel square first.
If you don’t have a photo to use, the wedin.org photo album might be a good place to look, or you could try searching for your name in the archives - someone may have already uploaded a nice photo of you. If you do find a photo but are having a hard time cropping it or getting it to work at gravatar.com, you can email me the photo and your gravatar.com login info and I’ll set it up for you. No funny mustaches, I promise!

Isaac thanks for letting me know how to change the avatar. I was wondering how to do that.
October 13th, 2008 at 7:26 am
Hmmm it didn’t seem to work, did I need to use jonburpee@wedin.org?
October 13th, 2008 at 10:29 am
Jon, I can see your avatar - so maybe you just need to hit reload after getting set up at gravatar.com.
gravatar.com links the email address that you comment under to your avatar. If you’re logged in at wedin.org, that’s the email address that’s in your profile. If not, it’s the email address you enter on the comment form.
Note that it’s possible to set up a few different email addresses and avatars at gravatar.com so if you use a couple of addresses to comment you can have the same avatar appear.

Hi everyone. I get messages on my phone every time someone comments on this post, and I was curious about all of the gravatar talk. I went to the website and created an avatar for myself. I don’t know if it worked, but we will see when I post this comment. I helped my mom with her post and it was pretty fun. Let me know if you can see my avatar.

KT…ta-dah! you nailed it. for me, this avatar thing was one of those web deals where i muddle through best i can, and then cross my fingers and hope for the best. hope to see you again on the org soon! love, jack

Aunt Priss has the best gravatar! The pink blob with bunny ears is pretty darn cute although Ben’s crazy Christmas tree is pretty awesome too.

Gravatar testing. I will miss my springy diatom

It did say it might take 10 minutes.

WOW…we hit twenty…when was the last time? Good to see Katie here tonight….a bright spot in the middle of a ho-hum debate. I will work on my avatar soon….it is mostly a function of not knowing how to properly manipulating my photo software….and, the comic one supplied is actually better than the real thing! Have a great week everyone. Love, Pete
