Homer Alohas…
“Aloha” - hello and goodbye - is the perfect word for Homer this week. We’ve had a wonderful week, but we’ll be departing just as many of you will be arriving. Pete’s and Debra’s really looks terrific…sure wish we could be here for the feast and festivities.
Anyhow, here are some midweek pics of our Homer holiday. We have a few hours left, so time to make the most of them. ALOHA to all. Love, j/d/gp

Sorry I’m missing the luau too - I’m pretty sure there’ll be no sweet Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts at the wedding tomorrow. Hope you all have a great time!

Isaac…hard to leave this morning, but it’ll be good to see the boys this afternoon. we got a text from jon at 7…they were in girdwood, so right on time for the nathan-marina hand-off in homer. charlie called yesterday to schedule the “homer flight” next week…he got goofed up on the dates worse than i did. we’ll do that next visit, ok? on the thumbnails, any way to open those a little larger than current size? seems like they opened a little bigger the last version. l,j

Hey Jack:
Meant to comment yesterday, but, well, Mary P had me runnin’! That girl has some energy. We all did have a good time and I heard a lot of “next year’s luau” mentioned. We even had a guy bring some poi. The lau-lau were a huge hit and the pork is divine. I am so happy to have some leftovers in the freezer. BTW, thank you so much for another Cafe Cups adventure. The photo you posted was a classic. Am sure we’ll get busy and post a post-luau post this evening, if not before. Gotta run…..have a lodge pick-up this morning. Love, Pete

pete…we had a great visit this week and the crab/gull island cruise was a big highlight…thanks for making time to do that. heard your family fishing venture was VERY productive…sounds like everyone did well. jon mentioned that you had the #2 fish on the silver salmon derby leader board, too. hope next year’s luau works in june, but if not, we’ll see if we can figure out a work-around for football. jake’s team, west, lost a tough game friday night…sam’s team prevailed 6-0 in a defensive struggle that went to the wire. more soon. l,j
