Over the Dover…
Jake finished his marathon castle project last night, and scored a 99 on his presentation in class today. Once described as the “key to England,” Dover Castle is located near the famed White Cliffs. The castle is nearly 1000 years old and coincidentally, it took Jake almost that to build the model shown here. Constructed of with paper (yes, PAPER), this was was a 3D jigsaw of epic proportions. We should have called Jon for help! l,j/d/gp

Wow Jake! And I bet you can drive a vehicle too. Sorry to hear about your crud or bug - I have been really lucky this winter, probably because I don’t expose myself to too many people. I don’t do it on purpose, mind you.
Love to you all up there.

Jake- Very cool project. Nathan is workina on a diarama right now too. Must be the project time of year.
Debra- We must not have visited enough this winter. Don’t worry we will try to get a bug down to you soon.

debra…neither of the boys nor cheri has had this, so not sure where i picked it up. hopefully, it’s a one-rounder. i’m sure you guys get your share down there, but my guess is there’s less exposure in homer than anchorage. we are, after-all, the “airborne illness crossroads of the world.”
lisa, when is nathan’s project due? let us know if he needs any help…we actually kinda enjoy those things (unless we find out about them two days before they’re due). l,j/d/gp

Dad- We finally got the info sheet on Nathan’s project. It is due May 5th. You should come by and see what we have so far. I am sure you would have some great ideas. Jon helped construct a kayak from toothpicks. The weather sure is improving quickly. If we can just get the snoww in the yard melted we should be able to do a least part of Nathan’s birthday outside, the obstacle course.

That castle is so cool! Congratulations Jake! Giselle is happy to see “Rella’s” “crib.”

sarah…i think what giselle is trying to say there is that she wants to come up to alaska to visit cinderella! oh yeah…and those aunts, uncles and cousins, too
btw, if you sign up for an alaska airlines signature card, you get 20,000 miles free PLUS a $50 companion fare (second passenger goes for $50)…just a thought. l,j
