Reunion shirts!

Ask and ye shall receive - an ash-colored shirt on an anonymous male model:

ash front ash back

shirt front shirt back

We picked them up last weekend - the shirt printers are located near Philadelphia so it was a convenient excuse to stop at Osteria along the way for some of their fine pork products.

The actual shirt sizes and colors appear to mostly match the order list. They did throw in a few extra shirts so that should cover any mistakes or surprises.

    Wahoo, I can’t wait to see us all in them together. Thanks for pulling it all together.

    You should have modeled one for us! What I can see there looks great and I’ll bet it ws a relief for you to see the final product. Getting excited about next week. Got some fishing in over the weekend and some chores Monday and today and now I have two days of charters if the weather allows. I also have a full boat on Saturday that would really help, but you just can’t count one the weather. Anyhow, I am smoking another batch of fish for the brunch today, so I think I have enough of that now. Guess I should make some calls and start organizing the food for the brunch, or does everyone think we can just pull it together Fri/Sat? Love, Dad

    pete…we COULD just wing it, but then we’ll end up spending time on logistics when we COULD be spending time together. so…yeah, let’s get a plan together. priss mentioned a costco trip for brunch vittles…figured
    we could all chip in on that when we get there. also, figured we’d hit a store there on the way, and we’d planned on grocery shopping for our condo AND the brunch, too. anyhow, it makes good sense to plan it out a little.

    meanwhile, here’s a little scoop on the set-up there i found on-line:

    La Conner Civic Garden Club
    622 South Second Street
    La Conner 98257

    The Civic Garden Club is a vintage La Conner landmark located just above First Street on South Second. Built as a Grange Hall, it was the original territorial Court House. It’s now a wonderful location for meetings and gatherings of all types.

    Building rental rates are:

    * Building rental - $375 per day
    * Damage deposit - $100.00
    * Additional deposit for alcohol and/or dancing - $100.00

    Any group qualifying as a community group may receive a rate of 50% of the rate listed above. Any group qualifying as a nonprofit may receive a rate of 75% of the rate listed above. Please contact Town Hall at 466-3125 for additional information or to make a reservation.

    we need to pick up the keys (limit of 2) before 4:30 pm on friday at the Town Hall. kitchen includes “standard stove and fridge”…no utensils are available (pots, pans, silverware), so we’ll need to get paper plates, forks, spoon, etc. probably be nice to have a few pots/pans…hopefully, jean can furnish those…or maybe priss or deb could bring them.

    anyhow, maybe you could do a post with desired food/utensil items…you can enlist volunteers in comments (and we can make some calls for non-orgers)…meanwhile, we can keep a tally of who’s bring what on the org. that way we can avoid redundancy…no sense in all of us bringing 50 paper plates, eh?

    the agreement includes fairly standard provisions and also that we clean up and return the facility to its pre-rented condition. standard stuff.

    looking forward to that smoked salmon!

    Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t been back to report what i talked to Deb and Markay about the brunch menu….Markay said she would be happy to do a Costco trip. Deb was thinking we could all just bring something to contribute to the menu. I’m game for anything but here is what I am going to do so far….I’m going to Kash and Karry (restraunt supply store) to get coffee makings, cups, syrups,etc. I am going to bring the espresso machine. I will pick up some tea as well. I can get the plates, napkins, water bottles, pop, juice, etc. Then I will check with Markay and see when she is planning on coming and maybe we could slip into Costco for whatever is needed on Friday or Saturday AM. There is one in Marysville on the way. I agree that the less we have to do on the day of is best…I want to visit as much as possible!!!! So let me know if I can do some calling for the non-orgers about a possible potluck thing for Sunday?…next week much slower than this one so far and plan on keeping it that way. Will talk to you soon! Oh and Isaac, thank you so much the tshirts look really great. Love, Priss

    hey priss…that all sounds GOOD, but…we’d be happy to pitch in on some of the logistics there. from your list here, sounds like you’ve put a lot on your plate, but don’t forget it’s a PAPER plate :-) so…if you bring coffee fixin’s AND sodas, that seems like a LOT right there for one person. maybe we can formulate a list with everything on it, and then we can all share the load. as for food, pete’s bringing smoked salmon, so that oughta cover the food situation. just kidding. anyhow, depends on what everyone wants. jean didn’t want anyone to have to cook, but if someone WANTS to fire up the stove/oven and prepare something, i think that’d be great. meanwhile, we oughta come up with a snack list…a few party veg/shrimp platters would be a good start. also, we have a fridge in our condo, so we can store a few things in there, too. yada-yada. l, j/d/gp

    I added some photos of a shirt on some guy…

    Hey, someone should do a post with a table of stuff we need for brunch (and the reunion in general for that matter) and who has volunteered to take care of each thing so far. Like a summary of the things in the comments above - and maybe there are some things in the comments on the actual reunion page?

    To add to the list of stuff, Mandi and I are planning to stop at the Whole Foods in Ravenna on the way out on Friday for some cheese, creme fraiche, and whatever else looks good. So, we’ll have a few things to put in a fridge.

    If someone puts a list together I will print it and do some calling to get ideas….Jack, I will be the beverage person then…does that work? I can get water, juice, tea and the coffee stuff all there and Peter and I are going tomorrow to do that. But I would be happy to contribute a food item on sunday and or snack stuff for Saturday as well…Yum Isaac Whole Foods is one of my favorite places. Ever been to Central Market? Another good one. Love Priss
