Here are updated versions of the choices named in comments today–most incorporating the lovely red bridge brush art provided by Isaac. Because it was more difficult for me to work with the art when it touches other elements in the design, the revised #8 still shows the old line art bridge. If we were to choose that one as “the one,” we can incorporate the brush art bridge for the final image. Also, if we were to choose that one, I might suggest it goes across the front top of the shirts–with nothing on the back. (Or, it could go across the top back of the shirts, with just a W or something on the front.) If we like blue, the exact shade of blue can be specified. Blah, blah, blah . . . C
and her recovery will be a walk in the park. I saw on an earlier post that Jean was scheduled to have shoulder surgery today.

Isaac has tee shirt production and estimated costs lined out, and also a sketch of the “bridge” idea. Cheri has roughed a few bridge-type sketches, too. (CG says: And here they are. These are just to get the discussion going. As you’ll note, I’ve pretty well stuck to the bridge idea. There are other very good ideas not illustrated here. It’s important to know that for these layouts, in a final design the bridge art would be rendered with brush strokes in a minimalist, fresh, organic fashion using india ink on watercolor paper. This bridge art is done using the computer for position only. I’ve also included some colors, for fun, and have numbered all the draft designs in order to assist our e-conversation.) With just over 2 months till the reunion, we’ll need to finalize designs soon to get tee shirts done. So, to help out here, I’m going to attempt to summarize current design ideas into this one post. If I miss any ideas (or, if you have a new idea), please include it in a comment, and I’ll edit the post to include the new design idea. Once we have all the ideas in one place, let’s vote asap and get these tee shirts (and mugs?) into production.
Speaking from experience, words are painfully inadequate sometimes to express visual concepts. Sometimes an idea doesn’t sound all that great until you SEE it. Ideally, it would be nice to have sketches - even rough ones - of some of these concepts. Absent sketches, we’ll just have to do our best to pre-visualize.
