Hey Jack:
Happy Birthday! Next time I get my hands on a nice king salmon fillet, I will save a slice just for you (and your friends). I will be smoking and canning some tomorrow, but it is large and has been frozen for a bit, so we will wait until we get a nice fresh one. In the meantime, enjoy your day, is this 58?…omigosh, 59? Either way, take care and we’ll talk to you soon. Love, Pete

thanks for the new birthday wishes and greetings! turning into a fairly hectic work day, but i’ve had some nice days and half days off over the holidays, so that’s ok. and yeah, pete…59. i’ll be describing my age this year as 50-something whenever i can…just 12 months to use that and then…yikes. then again, several things belie the math here: life is good, i feel great and dad - in his 60’s - looked and sounded better than ever. so, as good as life has been to me, i still think the best is yet to come, and just looking at the calendar this year, i see some strong evidence supporting that already! anyhow, time for my afternoon dose of glucosamine and fish oil capsules…then, bring it on! l, j/d/gp

From one old timer to another Happy birthday, we’re right behind you. Nice to get the birthday out of the way early in the year…take care and you’re also entitled to an afternoon nap at your age.
Love Debra

hey debra…wow…i feel like i’m caught in an elevator between years…half of my day was spent on 2007 stuff…guess that’s the price of taking time off (and being a little older and slower when it comes to catching up). an afternoon nap sounds GREAT (and i often include one in the “eye cue lunch-hour), but not today…it sure sounds good, though
p.s. speaking of birthdays, we’ll see you back here in 11 days.
