All things considered . . .
Here are updated versions of the choices named in comments today–most incorporating the lovely red bridge brush art provided by Isaac. Because it was more difficult for me to work with the art when it touches other elements in the design, the revised #8 still shows the old line art bridge. If we were to choose that one as “the one,” we can incorporate the brush art bridge for the final image. Also, if we were to choose that one, I might suggest it goes across the front top of the shirts–with nothing on the back. (Or, it could go across the top back of the shirts, with just a W or something on the front.) If we like blue, the exact shade of blue can be specified. Blah, blah, blah . . . C

Wow, things change overnight! On the new line-up, we like #6, but wish the verticals struts were still there. #7 is cool, too. I could see #8 in an oval, rather than a rectangle. I wear t-shirts with both just a left-chest logo and some have that and lot’s of art on the back. Ray Troll produces some of each and some with the art on the front. Great work! Love, Pete PS: Off fishing today, so maybe we can scare up a fillet for home, but first I gotta catch a couple for the 11 and 12 year old boys that I invited. Should be a fun day.

with iowa in full swing today, it’s interesting to have our own “logo caucuses” underway on the org. i wish the candidates were improving as much as these logos are!
so…based on this post and current comments, here are my thoughts:
i like 8 - 8 - 6 - 6: i like both 6’s (the one without the ramped background slightly more than the one with the ramped background). as for #8, i like both of those, but would like to see the elongated brush bridge from the clean #6 inserted in that one. i know that’s a challenge at this point, but hopefully we can solve the technical issue there and give that a try. anyhow, i really like the way the bridge weaves through the letters on that one…seems to reinforce the metaphor in a subtle fashion.
on the oval sugggestion, i really like that, too! the only issue there would be to make sure that the curve of the oval doesn’t conflict the curve of the bridge. if the elongated version of the brush bridge can be incorporated, i think that will work out nicely (easy for me to write…possibly a challenge to pull off in reality).
i went to the pictureweave site…beautiful stuff. no time right now to explore further, but i suspect it’s expensive. jon?
as for placement of these logos, i like the idea of centering them on the front, especially if we end up going with a variation on #8. BUT…as pete mentioned, there are a lot of variations on placement…it probably makes sense to wait until we have our final selection, and then decide on size and placement. in fact, we can probably get a mock-up tee shirt graphic and show various sizes and locations of the final logo…again, easy for me to write
last, i hope we can enlist some more reviews and feedback…deb, bill, katie and willy…priss, sarah and family (i sent an email to priss a few days ago but haven’t heard back)…ben and jess…markay and garry (i’ll sene an email to them today)…danny and kelley…
more soon. l,j

Of the new ones 8 is my favorite. Something about the vertical lines in the bridge appeals to me. The great thing is there really isn’t a bad choice in the lot. It is always nice to have a graphic artist in the family.

Okay, I’ll paint in some vertical lines tomorrow and rescan it - painting after midnight is probably a bad idea though.

Another bridge, now with with vertical lines:
That’s just a preview, here’s the huge TIFF file for remixing.
