Hau’oli La Ho’omakika’i!

TurtleBayPre game WarmupsSamBanyan 1

Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  Pete’s comment about being connected on the org is so true…it’d be fun to see Thanksgiving posts from around the org tomorrow…Homer, Goldbar, ER, Clear AFB, Bucks County, LaConner and beyond, if possible.  Big Thanksgiving hugs around, Love, j/d/gp   P.S.  They have a web-cam here you can control on-line.  If anyone wants to try it, we could send a Thanksgiving wave from the pool…the address is:  http://www.turtlebayresort.com/About_Us/webcam.asp   Click on the pool image, and you’ll see a live shot of the pool…there’s a button to the left for “Camera Control”…it lets you direct the camera (pan 360, zoom in and out) for 45 seconds.  Anyhow, if  anyone wants  to try the “wave”…let us know…we can call and coordinate the a good time to do that.

We all saw your post this morning, but have been busy eating, visiting, and cooking. Nathan stomped me in “Homeropoly” and now, Debra is getting the best of him in Monopoly (Seattle edition). I warned him that she is pretty good with monopoly money. We did the webcam, but with only 45 secs and a slow response on the nav bar, we couldn’t zoom and get centered before it went back to start. We’ll have to coordinate a wave at some point. Luje says there is a good one at Waikiki, but the sunset is a problem, so earlier in the day would work. I know you guys are a ways from there, but if you happen to be in the neighborhood. We will try it on the 10th or 11th while we are there. Well, have a great Thanksgiving. Me Ke Aloha! Pete

hey pete, debra, lisa, nathan and marina! HAPPY THANKSGIVING! sounds like a GREAT DAY there. we just got back from a day at the pool…our plan was to go down for a little while…ended up making a day of it. i noticed the web cam was really slow this morning, too! when i did it in anchorage, it was no problem to go 360 or zoom in around the pool inn 45 seconds. but, it was darn near impossible this morning to do much. might be thanksgiving internet traffic and the web is just slow….if it’s faster tomorrow morning, maybe we’ll try it…i’ll call if it looks good. by the way, we were there by the pool when you did the webcam…four of the “ants”…:-)

traffic for the game tomorrow is already a big deal…there was an article in the paper just about game traffic…a whole section about the game! fun stuff! well, we’re off to TG dinner…more later. big TG HUGS around! love, j/d/gp

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I’m thankful for this website and all the orgers and organettes! :) Have a great time in Hawaii!!!! How cool to spend Turkey Day there. It’s icy cold here. Uncle Jack, I would love it if you could send me a postcard with some warm Hawaii weather.

Sarah…yes, the org is definitely something to be thankful for…the next best thing to being together is org-ing together! i think ANY time is a good time to be in hawaii, and it’s a great place to remember all we have to be thankful for! i wish we COULD bottle some of this warm, moist, fragrant air and send some your way…funny thing, it got pretty warm in alaska right after we left (48), but it’s supposed to be cold again when we get back. it’s always shocking to go from 85 to 20 in 5+ hours. well, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you all…march is just around the corner…love, uncle jack

I know I am really excited for the reunion! It’s going to be so fun to see everyone. But in the mean time, it’s so cool to see pictures posted on here. I was telling my coworkers about it and they think it’s such a cool idea.

sarah…the org is all good…i really enjoy the posts and the comments are a riot sometimes, but the pics really add a touch of almost “being there.” fun stuff. i left a voice mail for pete a little while ago…i know they head for the islands this week (or weekend)…i just checked flights, and it looks like the next flight goes out at 1:15 a.m. tonight (tomorrow morning, to be exact). anyhow, maybe we’ll see a post from them after they arrive…fun stuff! we’re still adjusting to 20-something temps…a week was wonderful over there, but it just wasn’t long enough…then again, it never really IS long enough…we always want to stay just another day (or week!). the reunion will be here before we know it…christmas is just around the corner, then the reunion a few months later. just got christmas cards from grandma jean…she’s pretty excited about the reunion, too. have a great weekend! more soon. l,j
