49 Never Looked So Fine!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHERI! Hope your birthday brings a fraction of the joy and love you bring to all of us. You look - and SMELL - better than ever, and I hope soon we can share the one gift that’s been in short supply lately…the gift of time. Speaking of that, it’s almost time to meet you for lunch! Much love and happy birthday, Wedin

Hey Cheri:
Happy Birthday! Great collection of photos, Jack, but aren’t there any with a fish? We NEED to fix that! I have nothing on Saturday right now….we could X it out and take you and Debra fishing for king salmon! Let me know and we will make it happen. Love, Pete

pete…wow, that’s a great offer! aside from the lure of having some fresh (and frozen) king on hand, it would just be great to come down and cruise the bay! unfortunately, saturday’s jake’s last game of the year, and it’s west’s homecoming, too. he’s been playing better (and getting more playing time) each week, so i’d hate to miss his last game. i’m just so proud of him for sticking it out. meanwhile, sam’s team is in the playoffs…they’re the #1 seed, so they have a bye this weekend. they’re playoffs are loser-go-home, so anything can happen, but they’re the favorite to win the city and state championship. could be a few more weekends on that trail. so, how late are you running this year? football should be clear by the middle of october. be great to come down for a day trip during the week (might be able to talk charlie into flying down), or we could all come down for a weekend. let me know how things look around then. we had a nice homestyle birthday celebration for cheri…lowkey and just right for a monday. love, jack

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a very lovely day complete with lots of good birthday hugs, a tasty cake, and many nice moments. Also, it’s good to know–and to know that YOU all now know–that I don’t smell worse now that I’m older.

Hey, Pete, the Sunday fishing trip is a very nice offer which I greatly appreciate. It would be much fun! But, as John said, the West Homecoming game is Saturday and I don’t think we can do that AND get in a fishing trip.
With regard to the missing fish photo of me . . . that would probably be a photo of the extraordinarily nice silver I caught aboard the Julia Lynn in Seward several years ago.
Thanks again for the nice offer and comment.
Jon, also nice to hear from you. We missed you, but ate your ice cream anyway.
Love, C

I just got my internet working again. I am not sure what was wrong but I ended up unplugging my modem and wireless a couple times and restarting my computer. When all else fails turn everything off and back on again. Happy Birthday Cheri. That was some super tasty cake. It was good to see you, it seems like it has been awhile. I think I can make Jake’s football game this weekend. We have a birthday party at 11. I am hoping there is not much else going on this weekend. Last weekend was crazy. We have had a super busy September.
