Marina begins Kindergarten

Marina has had a great start to school. She was only missing two things…
her two front teeth. She lost them in August. She got to practice going to school because Kindergarten starts a week after everyone else. She got to take Nathan to his first day of 3rd grade.

We also had a fun visit from Madeline Makenna and Jessica.
Marina got a fabulous Rainbow Bright hairdo

Hey Lisa:
AWESOME post! Really like the rainbow hair there, Marina. Nathan, you are looking so-o-o much like the BIG brother these days. Good luck in school all of you. We are beginning to see the end of the season here and are planning a quick trip up to Anch/Sutton. Probably mid-week to not lose oput on any weekend charters. Will be in touch as to when we’ll be coming through. Hope we can share a meal. Have a great week….Love, Pete

lisa…perfect timing on your post! feels like we’ve been “out of state” since school and football collided here, and your post is the next best thing to seeing you, jon and the kids as much as usual. the kids look great…heck, even your SHADOW looked great!
thought about heading over today, but catching up on chores and replacing the garbage disposal got in the way. ugh. doesn’t get any easier next weekend…jake’s game is at 9.a.m. at AFS, then sam’s at 7:30 that evening in palmer…oh yeah, and cheri has the B&G auction/dinner saturday night, too. maybe we can rendezvous midday.
we’ll stay tuned on your visit this week pete. weeknights are tough lately, but a dinner out might be a fun break. sam’s practices go till 7:30 and he’s usually a mess, but he’d be ok for village in (or similar)…or, maybe ihop…we haven’t been there in awhile. anyhow, keep us posted.
btw, jake’s doing great on JV, and sam’s team is 5-0 and they have a shot at the state title in their division. fun stuff. love, jack

How exciting! Congratulations to Marina – we look forward to some new artwork or even a letter!
Love to you all and thanks for the great new pictures, sometimes Homer seems so far away.
Love Debra

I am glad I finally got to post. I have been meaning to post since Marina lost her first tooth in August. Pete & Deb, we would be available midweek for a dinner. I am home by 3:15 to pick-up the kids at 3:30. Dad, dinner anytime would be great. We haven’t done that in a while. I had a good time at the conference. I learned a lot. Lynx Creek Pizza was fabulous.

lisa…haven’t heard an update from pete or debra on the midweek trip, but we remembered that there’s a fnba tv shoot tonight…a late one (10-11:30). sam and jake are in it, so it’ll be fun to roust them tomorrow morning. ugh.
so glad to hear that the conference went well, and that the pizza was a hit. did you try that “mushrooms of the forest” (or whatever they call it)? good stuff!
more soon. it’ll be time for football practice shortly…just enough time to slay one more work deadline before heading out. love, dad

Hello Everyone:
Sorry we didn’t check in, but we just kept moving! Got to ER in time to have some late supper and visit a bit before bed. Checked out the basement project with Ben. We headed out for Sutton laste morning on Thursday and spend the afternoon with Tom and Kathie Jordan visiting, enjoying the view of the glacier, and berrypicking. Had fresh moose for dinner and spent the night. Headed back to ER before noon and had a quick playtime with the girls. Am sure Debra will post some photos later. I am going fishing, although the wind seems to be blowing. Have a great week and sorry we couldn’t have a longer visit…maybe soon. Love, Pete
