Post Haste…
Knew it had been awhile since posting…just checked and it was over two weeks since the last one. Seems like everyone’s pretty darn busy right now, and the weather’s been pretty nice, too…a real bonus this time of year! Anyhow, figured I’d upload a few pics and share some recent highlights. We took the train to Seward last weekend for a much-needed break…felt like a 3-4 day break since there was no driving involved. More soon. Hope everyone’s getting a little late-season sunshing. Well, I think I’ve gone sunshing, once. Anyone else?

Did you notice that there is football in half the pictures? I think there may be a bit of bad case of footballitis at the Gillian Wedins. I got my van back.

Clearly, judging from Lisa’s birthday photo atop the Kincaid Chalet, there are those in the Gillian Wedin Burpee clan who favor the color green. And the swan photo is TOTALLY cool. Like a Rorschach ink blot, it’s virtually symmetrical. The graduated green to blue color of the background is also quite arty. Very lovely.
I must share one anecdote with those who didn’t hear Wedin describe the fishing trip scenario over his cell phone . . . He said it was a perfect day, beautifully sunny with cool puffy clouds against the blue sky; tthere were even two swans “bearing down on us” in the river.
Those vicious birds. Did he need a day off or what?

hey, not much of a post, but those are sure great comments! guess a picture IS worth a thousand words. as for footballitis, it’s obviously contagious…that is MARINA packing one of them. meanwhile, i’d forgotten that phone call…still amazes me that i got a signal over there across the inlet (by standing on the landing gear). fyi, those swans WERE bearing down us…it was a scary moment, but kris had his 44 mag ready for action, so we were never in any REAL danger. last, i’ve never GONE sunshing, but it is pretty darn tasty with eggrolls and fried rice. love, j/d
