Cheers to you on your birthday, Isaac! To celebrate, I’d suggest a nice crepe with chocolate creme fraiche sauce on it. In fact, I may have one myself. Hope it’s a good one. (The birthday AND the crepe :-))Cheri
hey isaac…happy birthday! good to see you and mandi on the org…it’s been awhile. that’s a great pic, and the hat looks familiar, not to mention pretty cool. you are now older than your dad and mom were when they moved to alaska. pretty amazing. looking forward to see you both at the reunion next march…maybe sooner, eh? hope you have a great day, and again….fun to see you on the org. l,j
Isaac:
Was great to talk with you today. Hope your day was joyous. From Jack’s comment it sounds as though he thinks the photo with Peter Lind’s “Chief” hat is the one here at our house, but is actually one that Isaac got a chance to model on a visit to the artist’s home a couple of years ago. Anyhow, looking forward to seeing you again…..not sure when, but we will make it back sometime soon. Love,
Dad
pete…no big thing, but my original comment referred to the navy blue wool cap in the photo on the far left…i’m petty sure that’s the one we got isaac at christmas a few years back. but you’re right…i DID think that the chief’s hat was yours…hadn’t recognized it as a different one than yours. am headed across the inlet with my neighbor in his cub tomorrow morning to wrangle silvers. we’re going to the kustatan first, then the mac arthur. should be back by noon. jake has a JV game at 4, then he’s working the sideline at the varsity game at 7 (the west coach moved across the street about a month ago). also, sam has practice tomorrow night, 6:00-8:30. so…just wanted to check on pete’s schedule. you had mentioned he’d be in friday night about 7…we can be there no problem, but need to know the time so we can coordinate that. more soon. think i’ll send an email, too, just to make sure we connect. l,j
Happy Birthday Isaac!! It was great to talk to you. The girls have been pointing to your picture all month on a calendar I made and saying “Uncle Ikik”. That’s what they call you. How sweet, huh? Miss you guys. Hope to see you soon.
Love, Jessica
Happy Belated Isaac!!! Thats cute that the girls call you that…so sweet. I remember one of the cousins saying “Icekick” at one time. Hope you had a wonderful Birthday! Love Aunt Priss
hey priss…”Uncle Icekick” is funny stuff. you must be getting excited about pete’s return on sunday, eh? just found out that he’s coming in tomorrow night rather than tonight…we’ll miss he extra time with him here, but you gotta admire that kinda dedication! good stuff. more soon…we’re about to head into almost non-stop football for the next 24 hours. yikes. have a great weekend!
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I pretty much never wear hats, so those are some pretty unusual photos. I spent the day sanding and painting some chairs, drinking about a gallon of coconut water in between to avoid heat stroke. Our friends are getting married Saturday, so for dinner we went to a pre-wedding thing at a Mexican/Salvadoran place, not my favorite but fun all the same. I didn’t get to go riding, so I made up for that today.
Happy Birthday, Isaac. I am glad you mamaged to avoid heat stroke. We have had a warm August this year. We had the hottest day of the summer in August. Crazy. I finally got to go to Trader Joes on my trip to Seattle. Robert and Anna live really close to one. I bought some nuts. Pretty cool place. Their greek yogurt was incredible.
Well, now that’s funny. Because when I checked in on the org this evening, I thought to my self, “Huh. Guess I never really realized that Isaac was such a hat wearer. You just never know.”
Ah. But now I do.
What is it that nudges a Mexican restaurant into the Salvadoran genre?
hey lisa that greek yogurt is awsome isn’t it? Sarah told me about that awhile back. Trader Joes is our favorite place to shop. I go to that one in Everett too, its the best one around. Yes Jack I am really excited about Peter being here tomorrow!!!! While I was talking to him he said Jake wanted to go to Harry Potter tonite, that will be fun. I know he is sad to leave Homer but excited to get home. Miss Giselle talked to him last night and says good night to his picture when she stays over. She will be so happy to see him!!! Well take care and have a good rest of the weekend. Love Priss
wow. i just talked to cap’n pete a bit ago to coordinate peter’s arrival and check to see if he’d be up for harry potter. fun stuff. we’re going to do a quick hit at village inn with the burpee-wedins, then i’ll run jake and peter to the 8:30 showing. more soon. l,j
