70’s M’s pull one out!
hey guys…what a game today between the M’s and the A’s. it was 6-0 M’s early (the announcer was talking “laugher”), so i went out and mowed the lawn. sam came out just as i was finishing up with the bad news…7th inning, 10-7 A’s. it was nail-biter for awhile, but the M’s pulled it out 14-10! priss and pete (and i think, tim) were there…must have been a terrific game to watch live at safeco. the 70’s uniforms were pretty cool…sam really likes the old logo. anyhow, thought i’d drop this pic in here…ran across it yesterday when i was housekeeping in my attachments folder. beautiful day here in anchorage…in the 80’s easy out in the driveway. more soon. love, j/d/gp

Hey, good thing I dropped by the org on my way to SeattleMariners.com. Wedin, your post saved me a trip! Whew. That’s one game closer . . . just need a couple–at least one–more like that. How fun that you were there, Priss! That sounds like a great game for the spectators. Nice to hear the weather in Anchorage hasn’t been all bad. We’re heading back down to Atlanta tomorrow, to catch the flight to Seattle on Tuesday night. Has been a very nice visit and Jake and I will find it hard to leave. But we really miss JW and Sam. We’ll catch up with you from Hotlanta.
The next comment will look like it’s from me, but I’m going to let Jake have his say under my login. Love, C/Granny/Mom

hey gillian…this is pretty close to “live chat”…i had just gotten on the other keyboard after posting, and your comment came in! funny stuff. and yeah…that was a big win today. cleveland lost…angels are playing now, i think. should be VERY interesting next weekend. the weather here today is HOT. sam is bike riding around the lake with the mezich boys (and walt). they’re planning on camping at the airport tonight to catch a flight. there are 5 going out between now and 6 a.m., so they’re optimistic. well…sounds like you and jake had a terrific visit there. it was hard to split our trips, but definitely the right way to go. sam and i are REALLY looking forward to seeing you wednesday night. l,w

How ’bout them Mariners ! They pulled it out after all, and by four. Hope they continue their strike for the wild card. They need to win anyway!
So training has been going pretty well for me and Tee! giggle. I have been perfecting my catching, so Wedin 54… i’ve been getting better.
Well, I better sign off! ” Mariners Baseball my oh my!”

hey gillian…not sure what you mean by “training”…i’m thinking it may involve you, tee and a mall or two. ha. btw, i saw jake’s post to nathan one the “futbol” post…called lisa to let her know (maybe nathan can reply). anyhow, great to see jake on the org! about to cook a decent dinner (that includes protein and greens)…been a little slack here lately with the sleepovers…pizza, donuts, chips and soda mostly. ugh. angels are up on the tigers 12-1 early. hope the m’s catch ‘em winded in that first game at safeco after all that base running in detroit. maybe the wild card IS the way to go, but it sure would be cool if they could win the division outright. go m’s! l,w

As I indicated in my earlier comment, the second comment under the “cgillian” moniker is, in fact, from Jake. (giggle)
I believe you’ll find comments from him elsewhere on the org tonight. All written under his pseudonym, “cgillian.”

hey real thing! (yatrt!) i totally get it now. duh. the funny thing is, i had seen both of jake’s comments (i got email notification since they were on my posts). i told lisa about jake’s comments…i think she and jon will try to get the kids to answer his comments. meanwhile, spencer just came over and said he couldn’t play football (which jacob and sam were trying to organize)…spencer says they’re flying to fairbanks at 8, and then seattle at 4 a.m. wow. it’s probably a good way to go, actually…flights out of fairbanks are probably less crowded than out of here. sure hope they make it! more soon. we miss you. love, wedin

Hey Jack…got your message!!! I tell you what that was the best M’s game I’ve ever seen…….the 70’s stuff was hilarious, did you see Erick estrada come in on the CHIPS bike and throw the first pitch? We were a little disapointed that he didn’t have the cool sunglasses on tho. We all got the “old style” hats and Sam is sure welcome to have mine. I don’t wear hats much. The food was awsome, ever eat Dixies barbecue when you are there? They have a hot sauce “the man sauce” that is so hot but oh so tasty. My stomach has been in distress all afternoon…garlic fries finally did me in. But I will do it all again next time. Tim and Magnolia went too, he loves the 70’s so he really enjoyed the show. Well sounds like Jake and Cheri have had a good trip and you boys have had your fill of the junk food!!! Deb and I had a fun time at our garage sale Saturday, ate a lot, and enjoyed the people. We started giving away stuff by late afternoon…thats the fun part. Giselle got to go to the parade and Gold Dust Days with uncle Tim. She came back with a tootsie roll pop and a grin!!! What a great weekend and another one coming up!!!! LaConner on Saturday and then Sunday we are having Duke’s family over for his Birthday. I’m going to fry up the Homer razors and PeterC got a box of king crab…wish you guys could come too….Well sorry its the comment that never ends…..Love Priss

priss…that sounds REALLY fun! i missed the erick estrada show…they usually don’t do the “first pitch” on FSN, but seems like they would have shown THAT one. i was half doing chores and watching the game, so i might have missed it. i called deb in the 7th inning to leave a message…for some reason i got confused and thought you’d said THEY were going to the 70’s game. chalk it up to old age. sounds like big fun next sunday…if we didn’t have those tickets, we’d LOVE to be there! and as for the comment that never ends, don’t worry about it. now, i won’t feel like i’m the only one who does that. ha. three more days and we’ll be there. more soon. love, jack

That sure is a sweet picture of Pete and Giselle. It will be fun to see everyone soon. We are going to stay the first two nights of our Seattle stay with Aunt Deb. We are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Lisa that’s great I will try to get over there to see you b4 Saturday. that picture was taken last summer when Peter returned from Alaska. My how they both have changed!!! 20 more days til he comes home….not that I’m counting or anything!!! I’m so excited for you guys to go to Safeco Field…what a blast. Wish we could too but lots on the agenda already. We are looking for tkts later in August when Tanner comes tho. I don’t think he has ever been to a baseball game. Should be fun. Well take care everyone and have a great day…Love Priss
