Nathan played a great game last night and his team played well at both ends of the field. They’ve improved a lot since the last game we attended. At one point, Nathan ran right out of his shoe! We saw Becca Mae at the game…she flew out this morning to her new job at Yes Bay Lodge (http://www.yesbay.com/)…looks like a beautiful place to work, and a fun place to enjoy the outdoors. We’re looking forward to Marina’s game tonight…we can make it for part of that before Jake’s practice (his last game is tomorrow night). More soon. l,j/d/gp

Hey Everyone:
Nathan is a TANK! Look at him playing the ball! Wow…wish I could come and cheer him and all you young athletes on. Go #1! We had a rough day on the Inlet today…had a family with 11 and 13 year old children. They were all weatherprrof and did well. The 13 year old girl got a 60# hailbut and the rest just had to settle for “fish”. We all just wanted to bail them in and go salmon fishing. Got two humpies…darnit! We have the same group for ling cod tomorrow. Let’s hope the weather allows that. Great post, Jack….wish I could get around to doing some of that. Have fun up there and know I am with you all in spirit. Love, Pete

hey pete…yeah, nathan played a GREAT game. he’s got good instincts for the ball, and he also follows up on it really well…a lot of kids that age kick it, then stop and watch till it comes back their way. been a weird summer. sounds like a challenging day there…it was 53 when we left homer at 2 on sunday…that’s like 20 degrees colder than usual, eh? hope the weather cooperates tomorrow for the ling trip…we’ve had two days of 70 degree summer, but it’s supposed to cloud up and cool down some tomorrow. and yeah…look forward to some posts when your season winds down…meanwhile, glad you can make time to comment once in awhile. busy here, too, BUT…i’m already on-line during the day, and sometimes i just take a little org break to mix things up between projects. more soon. l,j

Nathan’s team won there Wednesday game against an undefeated team that had previously beat them. The tournament begins on Monday. They could go pretty far. They have good group of kids. We are looking forward to being in Seattle in two weeks.
