Hey Guys and Girls:
Little follow-up to the weekend. Ben and Jess and Twins did not make it down for many reasons and we all can relate, eh? I was really bummed, but was thinking that the next time I see them will be that much sweeter. We went clamming at Deep Creek and got some dandy clams. The girls are still cleaning them. We are getting them all frozen and will dole them out tomorrow. Nathan says that he has his Capt. Pete hat here, so not sure who;s you have there. We had a lovely dinner with Copper River red, hamburgers and king crab. Luke and his daughter Stacie and her husband Jason joined us and that made a good diversion from the clam cleaning. Peter C and Jake helped de-sand and get the clams steamed out of the shells. They have been great helping with the kids. All for now. Off to bed and a morning good-bye to Mary P . It has been a good visit and am so glad everyone was able to rendezvous in Homer. Am hoping that she can see the girls and Ben and Jess while in Anchorage. Have a good week. Love, Pete

pete…lisa called this morning, and said you had a full crew for razors. sounds like it went really well. good stuff. quiet father’s day here with cheri and sam…missed lisa and jake, but nice to get calls from lisa and becca. we’ll try to organize an early dinner for tuesday, and hopefully ben, jess and the girls can make it in for that. also, am planning to make the truck available to priss on tuesday…i can pop the GPS in there, and she can head out to see ben and jess if they can’t make it into town for dinner. on the hat trail, nathan’s is here. cheri put his toothbrush, pop-up ball, etc. into it…and sam’s orange one is accounted for, too. again, great weekend! see you soon…l,j/d/gp

Hi Everyone,
Sorry we didn’t make it to Homer this weekend. Wished we could have. Looks like we missed out on some great fun. Ben thought about bringing the girls for the day, but 10 hours of driving for them (and Ben) would have just been too much. As for me, I desperately needed some rest. Anyway, we would LOVE to hook up with you all on Tuesday, and Priss, we really do want to see you while you are here. Please let us know what the plans are. We’re up for just about anything. Hope all of you fine fathers had a wonderful day.

jess…we’re leaning toward an arctic roadrunner dinner tomorrow evening. the weather is supposed to be nice (maybe even “hot”), and burgers-by-the-creek with fresh-berry shakes would be kid-friendly and fun. jake has soccer practice 7-8 not far from there, so if we could line it up for around 6, that would work well. also, if priss wants to go to alaska wild berry, we could WALK there from roadrunner. might be kinda fun. meanwhile, i can lend priss the truck tomorrow, too. so…if you guys can’t make it into town, i’ll put your address into the GPS and she can head out there for a visit tomorrow. am expecting those guys here midafternoon or so today…we’ll see how everyone feels and ORGanize from there. more soon…l,j/d/gp
