Live! from Juneau, AK

Just for posterity, thought I’d make a mark on the org from Juneau while I’m here (just through today, with Boys & Girls Clubs hosting the Alaska Youth of the Year Legislator Breakfast). So far, this is the third snowiest winter on record for the area–with snow forecast for days out, the locals are figuring they’ll break the record by the weekend. I’m just hoping it lets up long enough this evening for an AK Air 737 to break out over the snow covered mountainsides toward Los Anchorage. The going is pretty darn treacherous streetside. No place to put the snow! Hope all is well in WedinLand. The reunion rumblings are sounding mighty good! Love the new page, Isaac. Love, C

Yup. Duty called. I agreed to do this gig before I knew I’d be way over my travel quota for a 12 month period. Now I’m stuck in the Juneau Airport waiting for the plane to leave Ketchikan to get here to get us to Anchorage. I’m just not made for travel. Oh well. Nice to chat with you from here to there. Love, C

    Hey Cheri:
Funny thing, is that I picked up Jeff Short this morning in Homer, fresh from Juneau. He did a Rotary lunch on Climate Change and a 3:45-5 gig at Islands and Oceans, a quick wine stop at the Wedin’s and then off to Kodiak tonight! I told him that his carbon footprint is getting LARGE. The guy is great and his volunteering to explain to us un-scientists the intricacies of climate change is appreciated. Hope you had a safe trip home…..see you in a couple of weeks. Love, Pete
