Wanted to add a pic of Cheri (and Sam) to this post…I think it worked.
One more day now…Cheri returns tomorrow night at 11, and the boys and I are REALLY looking forward to it! Tom continues to improve, but it’s a long, tough climb after such an extraordinary procedure (actually THREE surgeries in one). Our current plan is to go back and visit Anne and Tom over Spring Break.

This was shot at the Cleveland Clinic while we were clebrating New Year’s Eve–on Greenland time. Big T is still recuperating in the ICU from his Big Surgery on January 4. The irony of it all is that the more his condition improves, the worse he feels. It will be a long uphill climb as he regains his strength and stamina, but the great news is that the underlying problems have been repaired (for the most part). You all have my deepest appreciation and love for the support and concern you’ve shared during these past difficult weeks. I miss home and all of you. Happy 2007. See you in the new year! Love, C
This was a day for the books…from the momentous news of Tom’s successful surgery to birthday hugs from giggling grandkids, this was a day to celebrate the very best in life…family, love, hope, laughter, memories and, of course meatloaf and carrot cake!
Lisa made her world famous meatloaf for birthday dinner and it was fantastic. Becca made Cheri’s carrot cake, and it was the next best thing to having Cheri here. Thanks!
By my calculations, this is number 58, so happy 58th. I didn’t find many photos to choose from in the archives and I realized that is because you are usually the one with your eye to the viewfinder. I really like this photo myself and thought you would like a repeat, too. We appreciate your efforts to chronicle this growing family. We had an event packed week with
Dick and Betty. They sure got that white Christmas they were dreaming of. They were able to attend Marina’s Preschool Christmas Party with Jon and we have been hearing Marina sing Away in a Manger ever since.
