Learning Curve
Hey, Here’s the photo that went with Debra’s B-Day post….I was having trouble with iPhoto, not the upload, but your directions through the Preview did help. Also, am including a shot of the “Madeline” which is done and ready for delivery. Hope the Eagle River Wedins are having a blast on Maui. All for now. Pete![]()

Debra you look great, and Happy Birthday. Pete the boat looks great too. I’ll take one in red but a little bigger without the rockers. All kidding aside, I am sure the girls will love them.

great pics! debra looks great with her birthday bouquet and madeline’s boat is really terrific. what a fun idea…those are heirlooms for sure. glad the preview notes helped. as for iPhoto, i have problems with it, too, but it IS a lot better than what i had on my old mac. i’ve got a lead from someone in the biz on some new software that’s supposed to be WAY better (and easier) than iPhoto…am going to do an intro and a quick tutorial on that later this month…if it looks good, i’ll let you know. just checked weather on maui…looks like today might have been on the wet side, but sunballs from now through sunday. do you know where on maui they’re staying? more soon. l,j

Happy Birthday Debra from Berlin!
Isaac is playing tourist and I am working hard (much harder than anticipated). The final presentation is tomorrow and then I get to play tourist along with Isaac.
I hope that your birthday celebration lasts all week long! love you. -mandi.

Happy belated birthday, Debra! Was it a hair coloring advertisement that said it this way, “You’re not getting older, you’re getting better?” Well, your hair sure looks pretty and so do you. Hope your day, week and year just get better and better. Love, C (PS. That’s a mighty fine vessel, Pete. Still think the colors–red and GREEN–are very cool and just right!)

PPS. Also, lovely curved italic lettering on the stern. Did you paint the letters by hand?

Thanks to all the well wishers - and happy birthday to the girl who just recently had an unpublished birthday, you know who you are.
Am hoping you are also still celebrating.
Cheri my hair is going “natural”. Those curved letters are from a lady in town Lazer Print. But we brainstormed and came up with it ourselves.
Priss are you coming up?! Did I read right?!

wow. what a great selection of comments! i had checked notification on this one, but did it AFTER i submitted my comment. just for the record, that doesn’t work…you have to check it BEFORE you submit. duh. anyhow, great comments, and debra’s prompted me to return to the org calendar to see who we missed on the BD trail. geez. we missed a bunch! i’m doing a paste from the calendar…not too late to wish sandy and suzy a HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and we’ve got a whole day to get ready for robert!

I am glad Precious and her question mark made it in Debra’s birthday photo. Precious is wondering where her flowers are. That boat is fabulous. Take care.

Precious and her question mark … that’s really funny–and very observant! Nice going, Elle Belle.

Yes Deb, you did read that right…..I need to figure out best time. I want to see my boy do all this hard work I keep hearing about. I haven’t seen it but I’m sure he has a countdown chart somewhere as to when he gets to come back there. Both boys have me so hungry for Sourdoughs too!!! I would love to stay for a week between Anchorage and Homer so I will have to plan it after billing. The boys (depending on workload of course) will try for a weekend of fishing too. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone. Wish the girls could come with but we will have to see about that. Love priss

That is a HUGE comment! Wahoo! If there is anything we can do to help facilitate the trip, let us know. Not sure which month you are planning, but when you know, we’ll save a weekend day for a family trip. Looking fwd to seeing you all. Love, Pete

wow. sounds like big fun…it’s a good start on a family reunion! depending on when it is, maybe we can plan a trip to homer around that time, too. if you have a week for your visit, let’s try to avoid the split time dilemma…that’s always a pain, and i’m sure we can work it out so you don’t have to worry about it. hopefully, jon, lisa and the kids and ben, jess and the twins can make it down there, too. we can probably line up betsy’s place, too, if the whole contingent can make the trip. so…any thoughts on when the trip might happen? standing by…l,j

For a headless birthday photo with a cat butt this post has unearthed incredible family excitement.
Love to you
Debra

At least it is not a “copyrighted” cat-butt!
January 18th, 2007 at 12:54 pm
HA! is this referring to those costumed cat pics from a year or two ago? i just ran across one of those in the org slideshow thing, and i had to click on it. wacky stuff. and yeah…i was just thinking the same thing about the “learning curve” comment parade…berlin, priss coming to alaska, cat butts, mandi’s birthday, other birthdays, and the comment that got it rolling…jon’s boat order from captain pete’s shipyard. fun stuff!
