Re: LICENSE!
just talked to becca mae…she and lisa were out at kincaid at a birthday sledding party (great day for it!). anyhow, becca announced that she passed the tests and got her alaska license. pretty cool and no easy feat this time of year (not sure i could pass a road test right now). anyhow, congratulations to bec! also, just heard it’s snowing in seattle…seems like the perfect time for a post and pics! priss? anyone? we’re watching playoffs and heading for tonight’s aces game in a few hours. seahawks play the bears in the morning…tough sledding for the hawks (and snow IS possible in chicago), but we’ll be doing our part here on lake park. more soon…happy saturday to all. hope the julia lynn survived the 5″ tsunami and that pete got out and into the kings today! l, j/d/gp

Congratulations Becca Mae! Now you can drive down and see us.
Pete got out, is still having a little port engine anomaly. But I did hear them catch one fish so I didn’t get any steaks out.

glad to hear pete got out, and one fish, maybe, will lead to another! hope that port engine issue is something simple…maybe it’s just not fond of cold weather. l,j

Well, the ONE king was a nice fat white one! We split it four ways (Holly graciously turned down her share), so we will all get a taste. The engine issue is simply a fuel starvation problem and will probably be the pick-up tube. I’ll start there and work toward the filter (which I changed since the last trip). No bigee, but it was good all on board were friends and not clients and the weather was awesome. What a gloirious way to spend a Saturday, though. Congrats to Becca….now, let me say, get insurance and BE CAREFUL…it is slippery out there! Go Seahawks! Love, Pete

pete…sounds like a dandy fish, and REALLY good to hear the engine problem is just a fuel issue. aces won tonight big…in fact, they’ve outscored the opposition 18-1 the last three games we’ve attended…big fun for the kids and lotsa foghorning and cowbelling…they’ve come a long way since the beginning of the season. becca and lisa’s friend sonya went, too, and they brought nathan and sonya’s boy, jaden. good stuff. hawks in the morning…the bears are going to be grizzly, but hopefully grossman will have one of his off games and hasselbeck will have one of his best. the 37-6 whupping they put on us at the beginning of the season could work in our favor…maybe a few of the bears will take the hawks lightly. i doubt it, though. at this stage of the playoffs, eveyone’s pretty much at the top of their game and going all-out. guess we’ll know here in about 14 hours. love, jack

(14+ hours later) hard to bear. we’re feeling a bit drained after the seahawk loss in OT to the bears. sooooooo close. am sure jon is biting his nails right now…pats made a miraculous 2 pt. conversion to tie the chargers with 4:00 to go. could be TWO OT’s today the way this SD-NE game is going…the chargers have mostly dominated, but the patriots found a way to stay in it. great game! at least my favorite AFC team is still in it. sorry to see the hawks eliminated, but the playoffs this year have been spectacular. next weekend should be incredible. back to the game…looks like the patriots can win it in regulation. wow. l,j

The patriots pulled out an ugly win tonight, the pretty much sums up the season. Hopefully we can keep the win streak going vs indy in the playoffs.

yeah…not a blue ribbon season for the pats OR the seahawks this year, but both teams played today’s games remarkably well considering they were on the road in very hostile environments. the chargers were the class of the nfl this year, and it was pretty loud there today…i thought the patriot’s offense was pretty poised considering that. not brady’s best game, but he came through in a bunch of clutch situations. gonna be a real battle at indy next weekend…bears and saints will be a helluva game, too. it all points to a great superbowl…and if the patriots go in as cinderella, i like their chances. but, if the saints make it all they way, they’ll be the favorite in more ways than one. kind hard not to pull for them this year, eh? j
