And to all a good night!
From all of us on Lake Park this evening, a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. To the Gillians and Grays in Cleveland this Christmas evening, you are in our thoughts and prayers…to the Wedins in Eagle River this evening, wish you were here (and wish we were there!)…to the Christians, Millers, Newtons and Wedins in the northwest, we look forward to seeing you in 2007…and to the Burpees, Haynes and Wedins who shared part of your day with us, thanks…it was wonderful to see you! Merry Christmas to all…and to all, sleep tight! l,j/d/gp

(Hey, Wedin, hope you’re not disappointed that it’s just me … but couldn’t let your good post go down with no comment.) What a joy to spend these holly-days with family and friends. All the best to everyone! Hope to see more of all of you in the new year. Love, C

hey gillian…i know it seems silly to comment on each other’s posts, but comments are always fun and yours is relevant to anyone who may chance upon it. i enjoy seeing comments on other posts even when i’m not in the loop. and, in a way your comment underscores how fun and easy the org can be. as busy as we’ve been over the holidays, it’s a challenge sometimes to share thoughts and info even when we’re both here at home…the org makes that easy when one of us is busy and the other has a minute to connect. so…i hope the org picks up this month. be fun to hear (or see pics) from d.c., scarlet and homer, not mention, goldbar, lynnwood, olympia, portland and…well, anywhere family may be these days! love, j

Comments are great. I wish there was a way to add pictures to comments. It would be great to insert a pictrue here instead of doing a whole new post. Isaac any ideas? Christmas Eve and Christmas sure were fun.

hey jon…although we’d love to see a new post from you, comment pics are a great idea! not sure if it’s possible, though…since comments are easier to access (no login), pics may not be available there. if they were available, maybe isaac could require smaller file sizes for comment pics (400K or so). just a thought. j

We had a delicious Christmas dinner. I love the rib roast tradition. Now that is magically delicious.

lisa…yup, those roasts DID turn out pretty darn good this year! i love that sagaya’s method (the 500 start, then slow cook at 350). i’ve kinda refined that a bit over the years and it really works well. of course, it’s all about the meat to start with…my butcher friend at carrs has cut us some great ones the past couple years. anyhow, christmas day was was pretty magical here…and, yes, dinner was good, too. love, dad
