Happy Thanksgiving from Lake Park!

TG GROUP2

We’re about to head for tonight’s Great Alaska Shootout game (Marshall vs. Cal), but wanted to get a quick TG post up before we head out. We had a wonderful dinner, and the pie this year was…well, REALLY good! It was really fun to celebrate the day with Lisa, Nathan, Marina, Becca Mae and Rick. Hope to see a post from Eagle River if you guys have time…let us know about lunch tomorrow if you decide to head south. Otherwise, maybe we can get together Saturday. Love, j/g/gp/gruncle

Nutcracker

10 November 2006

Hi All:
For those of you that might be planning a Homer shopping trip, you may consider the weekends of Dec. 2/3 and Dec. 8/9. The Nutcracker will be performed both weekends at the high school. Tickets are $10 and the times are 3 and 7 PM on the 2nd, 3 PM on the 3rd, 7:30 PM the 8th, and 3 PM on the 9th. It’s usually a sell-out, so if anyone is interested, we can pick up tickets early. Goes without saying, there are beds available here and we would love to have you visit. Just got a fresh coat of nice, fluffy snow this morning and it caught me with the cover off the boat and laying on the dock! Oh well, it’ll come off easily. In addition to the ballet, we could always sneak out and see about a king salmon, although I may be pulled and in the shop by then. Hope all is well with everyone. See you on the 16th when I come up to pick Isaac up and help Ben and Jess move. Maybe we can all have dinner at Village Inn that night? Love, Pete

Thanks Given…

2 November 2006

Lisa, Jon, Nathan, Marina, Becca Mae, Pete, Debra, Isaac, Mandi, Ben, Jess, Makenna, Madeline…

We’ve been focused a lot on the here and now lately, but finally made some time to look ahead a little. We’ve decided to do Thanksgiving here at Lake Park this year, and wanted to extend an invitation to everyone who might be able to make it to Anchorage and over to Lake Park…for the afternoon, for dinner, for dessert or maybe for Great Alaska Shootout games that weekend. Be great to hear back on any of the above so we can plan for it. We got great tickets for last year’s shootout on-line…we’ll probably do that again this year (for 2 games sessions on Friday, Saturday and maybe Sunday) so let us know if you can make it. We’d love to see everyone…if you can’t make it over for Thanksgiving, let’s plan on some family gatherings and/or dinners over the holidays. More soon! Love, j/d/gp/gruncle
