    Welcome Home Cheri! Sounds like quite a journey…glad you made it. I once took a very quick tour of Chicago on a short layover. Had a pretzel and saw the Ell…not much else except for a drive to Evanston near the lake. I remember sitting on the runway a long time waiting to depart. I snuck through Anch last night. Ben picked me up and I got to play with the girls this morning, then we had lunch at Bear Tooth, coffee at Kaladi’s, and back to the airport and Homer. Sitka went well. Sorry to report none of the tickets I sold won. The town is very cool and I would love to return sometime. Lot’s of stuff to see there. Had three days of sunshine, which is unusual, I guess. I am now the secretary of the AMCC board of directors, so out of the fire and into the flames. I REALLY like the organization and respect the people I work with there, so it will be a pleasure. Anyhow, glad everyone made it home safe. Sorry there was no time to get together….perhaps over Thanksgiving, but that plan is not certain, yet. Maybe some of you have a Homer jaunt in mind?….you are always welcome. Love, Pete

    pete…congratulations on the appointment! it seems like a great organization doing very important work, especially right now. good stuff. we’re just getting back to a semblance of normalcy after cheri’d unexpected trip to WV, and we’re off to new york next tuesday. no plans to head for homer at the moment, but we’ll take a look at that when we get back. i want to do the annual christmas shopping trip this year…maybe we’ll make it a family weekend. we’ve decided to do thanksgiving here this year, and we’d welcome anyone who’s in town to join us for the day. also, depending on interest, we’ll probably get some shootout tickets again this year…some good teams coming up this year! the games we went to last year were big fun, and we had seats right on the floor (behind the bench on the east side of the arena). more soon…gonna do a quick TG post. l,j
