I’ve been working on getting our kitchen done. The counter tops went in today. Some lights, plumbing and trim work left. Here are a few pictures before and after.

Hello, I just tried to post this, but something happened and now I have to do the whole thing over. It just goes to show you that you should do posts regularly. Anyway, I know Jon and Lisa are really doing some extensive home improvement right now, would like to see a photo….here are a couple home improvements we made. Pete got my greenhouse going on Mother’s Day:

May 11th was Jake’s 15th birthday, and we headed for Homer for a fishing trip with Captain Pete and Mike (Mandi’s dad) and his friend, Kenny. The weather was a gift, and the fishing was great, too. Came home with a nice load of halibut (thanks for the extra “boat fish,” Pete!), and we also had two nice dinners…one at Cups on Jake’s birthday, and Captain Patti’s after fishing on Friday. Cheri made another great cheesecake (Jake’s favorite) today, and we had a nice gathering on the deck…Jake’s neighborhood friends, and Lisa, Becca, Nathan, Marina, Rebecca, Tom and David Haynes. We concluded the day with Jake flying his new RC plane at the park and then came home to see the Aces beat Fresno (series tied 2-2) and the Mariners beat L.A. in the 13th. Mother’s Day tomorrow…the weather looks even better. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL…hope Jean has a chance to check in on the org. More soon…Love, Jack
