Accidental London
Mandi and I went on a trip to Prague in March and ended up in London instead. We’d planned a short trip, and when our flight from DC to London got delayed a few hours we would have lost too many of our couple of days in Prague. Mandi found us a hotel right in downtown London, not far from Buckingham Palace.
We usually have our trips at least partially planned, but not this time. With only a couple of days, we picked a few of the tourist-ish things and pub-crawled our way between them and our hotel.
Some highlights, from left to right: St. Paul’s Cathedral from across the Thames, Mandi in front of the British Museum, and the London Eye.

Well, how about that! I was just scrambling around my lists and trying to find Mandi in my contacts when I figured I would be able to find her on the org. WOW, there you go….it’s happenin’ on the org. Anyhow, I wanted to ask her about “Plum Duff”. A guy on the boat yesterday knew all about her. Owned by Mandi’s former boss. Sounds quite cool and would love to find some info on the web. Tried a search and ended up with a recipe for some kind of English dessert. Looking fwd to having Lisa, Jon, Nathan, and Marina here over the weekend. Am sure some boating will be in the mix. I need to get out and get Grandma Jean a salmon….been awfull busy with clients lately. I do have some nice halibut ready for her, but I know she would like some salmon steaks. Just the kind of project I like. When you guys need some fish, just holler. All for now….thanks for the post. Always nice to see the father of the org present! Love, DAD

Looks like you had a great trip. There’s some great history going on there. Beatles included.
I am cooking some heads and backbones right now which will turn into soup tomorrow. The eagles are really enjoying themselves right now. They could be in our laps! As soon as I have a little time I will post an eagle show that Pete took. We are looking forward to a Burpee visit, I hear the latest is Thursday evening.
Take care and thanks for the great photos!
