No snow at Snowgoose yesterday…the pond is still iced over, but it won’t be long if these temps hold for another week or two. The creek at Jon’s and Lisa’s place looked good, but no run-off surge yet. We went up to Hatcher Pass and the Little Su is still mostly frozen over…should be roaring soon, though…it was warm up at the top, and the snowpack is starting to go. We’ll have to get that canoe up there soon, eh? Should be fun. Lotsa new construction up there this winter…some very nice new homes, including one just down from J&Ls. Also, a whole new subdivision has opened up adjacent to Snowgoose to the southwest…several new homes in there, too. Looking forward to Homer on the 12th…the posts last week were great! As if this mornings adventures weren’t enough. We finished the day with a helocopter tour of K-bay. Then we headed to the boat, where we were greeted by eagles and a sealion.

To escape the frustrations of remodelling, we headed to Homer. There was a minus tide this morning so we headed to Bishop’s Beach, where we discovered an octopus on the beach. The kids both were soaked so they dried out and warmed up in the Subaru.

I just wanted to announce that Ben and I have a new niece. Her name is Brooklyn Nicole Hiler. She was born April 20th at about 2:30 pm. She weighed 6lbs 10oz and was 19 inches long. Here is a picture of her along with a couple of other pictures of the girls. Congratulations to my sister Jana and brother-in-lawDave.

Madeline and Makenna are both walking full force. Makenna has four teeth and two pushing their way through. Madeline has three and one on the way. They are both saying about three to four words each. We hope you all are doing well. Love, Jessica

Hello, Pete took these last night, the eagles were hang gliding for quite awhile in the wind.

Mandi and I went on a trip to Prague in March and ended up in London instead. We’d planned a short trip, and when our flight from DC to London got delayed a few hours we would have lost too many of our couple of days in Prague. Mandi found us a hotel right in downtown London, not far from Buckingham Palace.

We usually have our trips at least partially planned, but not this time. With only a couple of days, we picked a few of the tourist-ish things and pub-crawled our way between them and our hotel.
