Happy Birthday Jean

Jean and Pete in Laconner 1

Well, your birthday arrived here with a BANG! At 7;15AM we were awakened by a 5.3 earthquake that was just fifteen miles from the house here. So, we were up a little earlier than most Sundays, but that’s okay. Hope you get over your cold quickly and that the weather straightens up there soon. Besides dodging volcanic ash, following the progress of a tanker grounded, then miraculously refloated and pushed off, it’s just been a typical winter of snow and cold and wind and slush. Spring is right around the corner, so enjoy your day and we all hope to see you here on the org soon. Love, Pete

  • Happy birthday, Jean! Hope you have a fabulous day. If we’re lucky, the Seahawks will win in your honor. Looks like several of us were trying to end the Wedin.org dry spell at the same time. I’m going to see if I can add a virtual birthday gift for you to my post, above.

  • Happy Birthday also to the boy sitting next to Jean.

  • And happy birthday to you, Peter! Perhaps the earthquake was a sign of a big year ahead … Will it be chocolate crepes for you today? Hope your day is just as you would wish. (Jean’s virtual birthday gift mentioned above will be posted at a later date, as I deleted my post to make way for timely news about today’s important events.)

  • Happy Birthday, Jean (39th) and Pete (54th)! Fun stuff. Sounds like you had a real wake-up call there…and close. yikes. Was that Augustine related? I learned this year that the Pacific plate moves about 3″ a year…enough friction to generate magma, and obviously a few shakers. Anyhow, a very happy birthday to you both…it’s warmed up nicely for you today (I see 36 as the high in Homer!)…pretty cool, I mean toasty! Time for Superbowl warm-ups…hope the Seahawks give us all something special to celebrate later on your birthdays. Love, Jack

  • Happy Birthday to Jean and Pete. I hope you had a good one even with the Seahawks losing but at least they made it and isn’t it an honor just to be nominated, oops, thats another major event.
