Pa-rum-pa-pum-pumpkin…
Drumroll please, Jake…Sam carved his first-ever pumpkin! Lots going on here at Lake Park this fall…Jake is the proud owner of a new set of drums, and Sam carved his first pumpkin (a big “thanks” to Jon for helping him with that earlier this week). It appears we’re all (mostly) crud-free FINALLY, and that’s made a big different the past few days. We’ve all alternately had that virus that’s going around, and it seems like one or the other of us has been running at half-speed for the past couple months (which really isn’t exaggerating much, if at all). Anyhow, we’re all looking forward to our trip to Seattle on the 8th, seeing everyone down that way AND Sarah’s new baby. Speaking of that, anyone heard anything today? Last note from Priss indicated they were holding off on the inducement and hoping for a spontaneous labor.
Anyhow, really looking forward to getting back in touch with everyone. Still a pretty full buffet here at work AND on the homefront, but definitely have more energy and resolve now to make some connections.
Have a great weekend! Hugs around, Jack, Dad, Grampa

Hey Jack:
The drum set and Jake look perfect from here. Can’t wait to check it out. I always wanted to be a drummer….like I told you, I can rub my belly while patting my head! Haven’t heard from Gold Bar, but it seems when all of THAT is going on, it’s hard to be e-mailing and calling. I’ll bet we could call Deb on a Saturday morning, though. I will be fishing tomorrow, as I was today and will be Sunday. Let me know what you find out., I might try a cell phone connection. The trip south will be fun, I’m sure. Are you going to LaConner? Am sure Jean would enjoy that and it IS a great place to poke around. You could see your favorite restaurant turned market there. Well, off to bed. Will be in touch. Pete

pete…yeah, the drumset is pretty cool…jake could use some lessons, but he definitely has some natural talent. not a peep from down south, but i suspect they’re absorbed in the “big wait”…am sure we’ll hear fairly soon after it happens. we probably will go out to laconner. right now, we’re working on a saturday rendezvous with everyone…nothing specific yet, but i had mentioned laconner as a possible location to get together. but yeah, laconner would be a beautiful trip…thought about taking a ferry across, then coming back through laconner on the way back to town…it’s make a great day-trip. more soon. good luck fishing! we’ve got becca, nathan and marina here tonight…fun stuff. jack
