It Takes a Village Inn…

LisaBecca4Whl5
happy labor day weekend! we met debra, becca, robert, anna, the kids and ben, jess and the girls at village inn this morning for breakfast. we needed three booths (including one very large one) to pull it off, but it was great fun. just wasn’t long enough to really connect, but sure glad we were able to at least see everyone before the trek to homer. debra took a few pics…sure hope one of two of those show up on the org.

still behind the curve at work, but i did take a minute to download “fetch” this morning…i can now upload pics from my laptop to the ftp site. i just sent about a dozen shots from tim’s and peter’s visit to the site…they can be accessed by going to: http://www.eye-cue.com/john then, simply double click on the folder “tim & peter c”

all for now…going to toss some chicken on the grille while cheri’s at costco…hope to be a lot more ORGanized in the weeks ahead. hugs for homer (and all around), love, jack, dad, grampa

It sure is nice to get together with family. Especially with extended family passing through. I think the girls enjoyed breakfast too, they seem to like the smell of food, just like their dad. Hope to see you all again soon.

Love, Ben, Jess, Madeline, Makenna, and Berkeley

    Hey Jack:
Thanks for the post….am looking fwd to seeing the photos on Debra’s camera, but we have been swamped. It is a raucus good time, We will post something in the next couple of days as things settle down. Suffice to say that we all (12 of us) went on a nice evening cruise to Gull Island and as we consoled and hugged each other, the asjes from Bob and Laverne and Sue were given to the sea. The kids caught some fish on the way home….more later. Love, Pete

ben…was pretty hectic at village inn there, so missed seeing you , jess and the girls much from the “satellite” booth i was in. we’re in that “oh-my-god, tomorrow is the first day of school!” mode here today. actually, we’re in pretty good shape, BUT there are a lot of details to tend to. anyhow, we’ll have some decent weather yet to come, but it’s definitely fall now…cooler, darker, wetter and it’s time to make the turn toward winter. also, it’s time to bring back the friday night family dinners, too, so hope we’ll see you guys at those…the girls were great there at VI, and it was fun to see them. l, jack

pete…sounds like the cruise to gull island was the perfect tribute and memorial for bob, laverne and sue. they all had personal and generational ties to alaska, and kachemak bay is a beautiful and fitting final resting place. more soon…looking forward to reconnecting here as we settle in to the new school year and prepare for winter. l, jack
