A Real Kick!

Last night was the final game of Sam’s soccer season. His team - the Iron Sharks - won 3 of 4 tournament games, and played for third/fourth place in their finale. They played a great game and won handily…a great finish for a team that didn’t win until their sixth game of the season (then won six straight!). Sam played hard every game, and scored a goal in the second game on Wednesday night. Fun stuff. It was great to have Jon, Lisa, Becca, Nathan and Marina there, too, to share in the celebration (and and fun dinner at IHOP).

Nathan spent the night last night, and that was great fun, too…it’s really great to have everyone back in Anchorage at last! Heard from Debra this morning that Pete’s OK with Tim coming up a day early at the end of the season. If that works out, it’d be fun to plan a family dinner before he gets on the plane…depending on what Ben and Jess are comfortable with - and Tim, of course - let’s plan that soon (Thursday night, the 18th, if it works out)…

First Trip

We went on our first family trip last weekend. We were hoping to make it to Homer, but Soldotna was far enough. Everybody had a good time and enjoyed the change of scenery.

We got lucky this weekend, we heard some little munchkins were visiting in Soldotna and Pete had a day off so we went up to hug them. They are one month old now!They might get to come down to Homer!

Goodbye Sue

Becca and I flew to Seattle last week to say goodbye to our Mother/Sister. Sue passed away on Sunday July 17.
Good things sometimes come from sad times and the chance for Becca to reconnect with Robert, Anna, and the kids is just that. Sue loved them all, as well as her own Grandchildren Nathan and Marina very much.
Robert and Anna’s strength and love saw us all through this tough time. We appreciate their dedication and hospitality.

Post Op

Hello, this is a Post Op photo of Isaac. He lucked out again today. Doctor McCallum had missed his flight to Washington D. C. because he had to check in on a patient (go figure - who has ever heard of that bedside manner!) anyway, we went up to see the Nurse today at 10:30 and lo! and behold! Dr. McCallum was there. He came out to the waiting room and ushered Isaac in early!!!!!! And took his bandage off. Gave us some advice and said he wants to see him in two weeks. I dont’t know about you guys, but I believe in MIRACLES when it comes to Doctor McCallum. Isaac allowed me to photo him tonight because he knew that there are lots of folks out there that are concerned about him:I am sure he thanks you for all your kind thoughts. He has to remain in the Clint Eastwood MAKE MY DAY position for the next 5 weeks.

Busy Twins

The girls have been keeping us on our toes, but it has been fun. We sure enjoyed seeing Lisa, Becca, Nathan and Marina the other day. It will be nice having them close again. The family visits are fun for us as well as the girls. They seem to enjoy the stimulation. Here are some more pics.
