San Diego
Hey Cheri, sounds like you’re having fun - we had some excitment at work last night, we had to send a helicopter out East End with a bambi bucket for fire duty. Hopefully they got it under control last night. It had burned about 300 acres. Shades of Summer. It has been very dry here already. Pete had a visitor at the boat awhile back, thought I would share a closeup:![]()

Great pic, Debra. We heard about the fire on the news last night…we were relieved to hear it was not in your neighborhood! Lotta concerns here about fire this year…ESPECIALLY, up on hillside. Sure good to be reassured by the administration that global warming is us a theory. Phew!
Hi, Debra. That fire is something. Is your helicopter still working it? You’re quite the photographer these days. That’s a great shot! You really otter think about going professional. (:-) I’m glad to be home. San Diego is nice, though. Really clean for a big city. But the leaves are nearly all the way out here now. If I’d been gone any longer, I would have missed summer.

Welcome back Cheri! Actually Pete took that photo, he has one of it under water too……I would not be able to get that close to one of those because they strike fear in me.
I guess the fire may reach 4000 acres. I got yesterday off so not sure if we are still on the fire. We have been fueling the helicopters that are working, though.
Well, whip your boys into shape, with all that time alone it may take awhile!
Debra
