Snow today, gone tomorrow

Sam Dad Sledders lt

Here are John and Sam just before their big sledding adventure last Saturday. We did have a lot of nice, white snow then. It rained all night and now it’s just slush out there today. Dark. Wet. It stinks. Jake had a minor surgical procedure performed on his big yesterday. He was a real trooper. I am not going to post a photo of it.

PS. (I don’t know if it follows protocol to be the first to comment on your own post, but, oh well …) Just wanted to say that I had a LOVELY Valentine’s Day yesterday … lobster and baked potato for dinner, chocolate, flowers … who ever thought that Jack Wedin could be such a Saint?

  • On his big Toe I am guessing, he takes after his mother then. Hey Cheri sounds like the Wedin boys have some depths that usually go unnoticed until they pull out all the stops! I had a lovely bouquet of flowers, a smarmy card (that’s good) and an elk dinner. It was lovely. Until I put in my movie, which I sort of enjoyed but Pete said there was so much violence in it you couldn’t tell it had a plot. Oh, well…..have a great day!

  • wow. don’t think i’ve seen anyone make the first comment on their own post (i LIKE it), and this is also the first time my name and “saint” have appeared in the same sentence. Saint Wedin of Lake Park. or, if we move, Saint Wedin of Snowgoose. yeah…the “snowgoose” one sounds more apropos. sledding with sam and nick was fun…i’ll try to post a few pics this week. St. Jack

  • ok, one more comment: i noted in your post that “jake had surgery on his big yesterday.” his “big?” this must be another trick to generate extra comments. ha. good thing he didn’t have surgery on his “little…”

  • I was about to say that pictures of that “big” may be censored by the admin, but it seems there’s been ‘nuf said! That card wasn’t even close to “smarmy”. When you wait until the day in Homer, the selection really sucks! Glad to see activity in the e-mail that isn’t v1agr4 or politics! Looks like Isaac’s post generated lots of action where ever he sent that from. Take care. 42 degrees on our deck this evening. Pete

Being intuitive in that way that she is, Debra nailed it when she said, “Toe.” That would be Jake’s big “Toe.” (As opposed to his big “yesterday.” Although, considering the time we spent at the doc, one might say it was a big yesterday.)

So what DOES qualify as “smarmy?”

  • Do you have a dictionary handy? Does unctuous ring a bell?
I knew it was his TOE!

I knew you knew. Leave it to the Wedin boys to add innuendo. Have to run now to yoga with Rebecca. It’s a hoot.

  • I am glad you are doing yoga. I loved it. I wish I could find a place up here.

  • lisa…we call it “yoga-doodle” which never fails to make me chuckle…are you still practicing yoga(doodle)? seems like it’s been good for cheri, though surprisingly strenuous…some of the positions sound like pure torture.

    ok – KA-CHING – double-digit comments! wahoo.

Actually, I had to add this one to make sure I got full credit for the double-digit post. As I’m not sure the first post should count. :-)

Elle belle, I wish you were here to take yoga with us. It would be REALLY fun. We already have such a hard time not cracking up as it is! Especially when someone goes to sleep, audibly, during the sasavana at the end of class.

  • Hey, I just smelled the flowers I got for Valentine’s Day! Guess what, I got ORCHIDS!

I am sort of getting interested in yoga, finding out that it is more of a laid back exercise…….wish I could be in the same class with you all!

Take care, talk to you, just thought I would help with the post push.

    Love Debra
