Costume Party

Hello -

It has been a bit since we posted pics from DC, but I thought that you might enjoy our costume party pics from last weekend.

The theme of the party was People as Art; Isaac and I went as Alfred Stieglitz Isaac-Alfred and Georgia O’Keefe. Mandi-Georgia

At the party we had a surprise guest, an artist who painted peoples’ faces. Isaac-John

Happy org’ing. -m.

I will have to show these pictures to the kids. Nathan was telling us the other day about how Isaac left us but we still had Aunt Becca. We are looking forward to your spring trip.

I think I have heard of Georgia O’Keefe, but who is Alfred Stieglitz. Am I the only one? It looks like you guys had a good time. Hope all is well in D.C., we’ve had a busy last few weeks. It will only get busier.

I had to google him. He was a photographer around the turn of the century who fought to get photography recoginized as an artform and not just a scientific curiosity. He took lots of cool pictures. oops found more, he married Georgia O’Keefe and forege one of the great american artistic partnerships.
