Went fishing today with the guys from the boatyard where I work. We struggled in the morning with no bites, but made a move to the islands in the afternoon and ended up with five nice kings! We had a couple other bites and lost two other fish, too. We each took one home and mine was a nice fat white one. I’ll save a chunk for Thanksgiving. It’s snowing a bit here tonight and since it’s 29 degrees, it’ll probably stay for now. Guess it was inevitable. Well, hope you are all having a fun Halloween and that those of you visiting are have a good one. Drive safely. Love, Pete

Five Days of Winter
Hey All: Read more…
Got back to Homer in fine shape. Was a whirlwind trip, but great to see everyone. Was good to talk to Jack today, but our schedules just wouldn’t meld. Thanks so much to Lisa and Jon for having us up to see what is in store for all of us soon.
Kids in the snow
Nathan and I attempted some cross-country skiing while the lazy ones got some cocoa. Hopefully more snow will fall — apparently they’ll start grooming the trails when it gets a little deeper.
