da termination dust…
wow. hard to believe it’s september already. beautiful day here, but there’s a definite chill in the air this morning, college football’s droning in the background and there’s dust on the chugach…
great to catch up here at the org. nathan’s first day of school pics were terrific along with a cute pic of marina (she’s really looking grown up!), and it was fun to see isaac and nathan biking it up.
we had a great trip out to the copper valley earlier this week. hadn’t been out that way in a looooong time, and i’d forgotten how spectacular some of those panoramas are. we had nice weather the whole trip, but fairly heavy smoke-haze the first day…fortunately, it blew off the second day and we had some nice views of mts. drum, etc. also, we did an atv trip one day, and that was a kick…we’ll definitely be getting a 4 wheeler (or two) for snowgoose.
any thoughts on a reunion while isaac is here? be fun if we could all get together at some point…maybe there’s a weekend (or holiday) that will work with everyone’s school/work schedules. do jon and ben have thanksgiving open this year? would enjoy talking possibilities once we get the first week of school under our belts.
back to it here…we’re off on a walk around the lake (while the sun’s shining). hope this finds everyone well and ready for…you know.
love, jack/dad/grampa

Hey,
Rare moment not sleeping or eating or whatever it is when I’m not fishing. The photos are great…..FALL is in the air….don’t you even mention that other word! NOT READY YET! When are you and Jake gonna come catch some halibut? Just about wrapped up here, although the phone still rings. Big news….Ben is going to UAA and Isaac is going to UAF! We are planning a trip to FBKS in late Sept/Oct and I want to rent a RV…thought we could make a run to Dawson. Just a thought. Not sure of anyones schedules, but off we go into FALL. Will be winter king fishing before you know it. What a season! Don’t think I made any $, but the boss says we paid the bills and my face is sure tan! Glad your trip to Copper Valley went well…..it is a cool area. 4-wheeling is fun, too. I have a cleint who is a neighbor in the valley…will fill you in later. Love, Pete

Fall is in the air up here in Fairbanks, frost on the cars this morning. As far as scheduling goes… I got a teaching assistant job, so I have stuff to do every day of the week. Weekends are obviously free, and if you let me know ahead of time I can skip a couple of classes. I’m up for anything Thanksgiving, who’s interested in hosting?

Hey about Thanksgiving, I want to be there! We could have it here but it isn’t a very “central”location since we are all spread out. Will Mandi be there?
Nice photos of those handsome young Wedin boys, and they get along so well together!
