Thirties

Hello,
It’s been a little busy around here lately. Pete and Tim have been fishing every single day. Their last day off was August 6! The weather here in Homer has been up to the 70’s, a little unusual for this time of year, and for us it is sweltering. I found a photo that I wanted to share with all of you. Can you believe these two are in their 30’s!!!!!!!!Isaac and Lisa ColvilleI better stop looking at old photos, I am getting a little Verklempt! Have a great Friday the 13th. Debra

Hey, I’m still 29 for a couple more days! 30 sure sounds old, am I going to become miraculously responsible and mature now?

70 sure sounds nice. Thought we’d get some respite here in Seattle, but it’s unseasonably hot, pretty much like DC.

wow. that pic sure takes you back (my guess is to the spring of ‘77)…i’m wondering if lisa or isaac remember that at all (taken while gram was visiting, i think). if i’m close on the year, i was 28…almost as old as the kids are now. speaking of relative ages, nathan and marina are pretty close right now to isaac and lisa in that picture. amazing!

as to isaac’s rhetorical question on maturity, the obvious answer is, “no.” I believe i’m living proof that advancing age alone affords little or no elevation of maturity…a circumstance, which - after you hit 30 - is a GOOD thing in many ways. hey, at 30, you’re at that crossroads where preserving some of the impulsive and spontaneous traits of youth can be a positive thing. my thought: maturity (at the expense of a youthful outlook), is terribly overrated. ha.

these old pics are GREAT! l,jack
