Sweats, Jets and Tents…
hey…
decided to come down here to the basement for awhile where it’s relatively COOL. it’s really hot here today - maybe not fairbanks hot that lisa’s described recently - but pretty hot for anchorage…80+ in the sun. sure hope it cools down into the 50’s again this evening.
courtesy of the alaska navy league, the boys and i went to a dress rehearsal for arctic thunder 2004 yesterday. the show was highlighted by the blue angels, and they were spectacular as always. they expect 50,000 today for the show…we’ve done that many times in past years. so… it was really nice to see the show with a few hundred.
we’re having the annual lake park backyard sleepover tonight. the big tent is set up, and the boys are pretty excited…promises to be a late night, since it’s still light at midnight. yikes. couldn’t ask for better weather, though!
looking forward to homer week after this coming week. no real plans yet, but i did promise cheri i’d take the boys one of those days so she, teresa and rebecca could shop it up.

Hey….the airshow sounds cool….way out of my reach this time of year, but would like to plan a trip to that one north of Reno some Fall….maybe we could fit it in. As for letting the girls have their day in Homer, how about the 6th and us guys go clam digging into Sadie Cove….late tide…after thelve noon and we get a couple buckets of steamers for the even ing bbq. Can’t think of a better “guy” outing. We can take the inflatable and the little six-horse and give the guys some time on the outboard. A quick, doable adventure. We can leave about ten and be there at a comfortable time. In the meantime, keep cool (and clam)! Love, Pete
pete…hey, now that’s a PLAN! the trip AND the steamers sound like a great day with the perfect payoff! jack
