HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

A most happy Mother’s day to everyone! It’s a beautiful day here in Anchorage, and we’ve got a nice day planned (LOOSELY planned, that is). Other than brunch at the Millennium, we’re planning to enjoy the day as it comes…maybe a bike ride, definitely a Sunday drive, and possibly a little Mariners tossed in the mix there (game three of the Yankees series).

BeLated Birthday Greetings

Hello,
I would like to send a belated birthday greeting out to my dear Daughter-in-Law Jessica–HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you! Did you get my card yet? There is still time to choose something less tacky than your Mother-in-Law might choose for you—–Happy Cinco de Mayo. Sorry this is a late greeting, it’s no excuse of course, but it has been a little busy at work, the season is “spinning” up.

Pete just called from Augustine Island, and he thinks they may be able to come home a little earlier than expected. They had bad weather yesterday and the scientists had trouble making it to the beach.

a big org-e

hey…beautiful day here in achorage…sunny, temps in the 60’s and spring green everywhere you look. after our first “real winter” in awhile, the spring thing is especially welcome. isaac mentioned that the cherry blossoms are long gone in d.c.—we’re still looking at buds here, though indigenous trees and shrubs (like birch) are starting to unfurl their leaves.

a few frequent org-ers have been wondering how to encourage and enlist more activity at wedin.org. we’re not sure if the process of registering is too complex, or if maybe it appears that posting messages or uploading photos is difficult. isaac has already eliminated a half dozen complications in the registry section and login area, but he’s definitely open to looking simplifying or eliminating any current hurdles that may be inhibiting anyone from making contributions. also, he’s available to do some hand-holding for anyone who has difficulties…i checked in with him several times when i first started to get over the hump.
