Beach camping trip
Mandi and I went camping at Assateague State Park on the Eastern Shore last weekend. I thought we’d escape the heat but it was just as hot there as in DC. We didn’t do much there, just wandered along the beach some, made fire, grilled meat, and slept badly in the heat. There’s no air conditioning in a tent! The hot drive over and back finally encouraged us to get the air conditioning in the car fixed.

Hi! Looks like someone was having a quiet moment…sure looks inviting. We had a great visit with the Burpees & Wedins last weekend, Jon couldn’t make it due to work but it was great fun. The minivan was a welcome change, we were able to have a little social hour right in the car, and all the landlubbers fit in one vehicle for once, so it was fund to go around shopping all over town. We met the boat Saturday afternoon and Pete took us over to Gull Island to see the birds. We got up close and personal. Well, nice photos, glad you are having some good weather! Love Debra
hey isaac…i never minded being back there in the winter, but the heat/humidity was brutal in the summer. ditto on debra’s comment on last weekend…we had a great time…we enjoyed a salmon/halibut combo dinner last night. good stuff! temps here are in the 50’s-60’s…head on up if you need to cool off!
haven’t seen any newcomers at the org…i might check in with a few folks and see what the issues, if any, are. sure would be fun to see posts and pics from around the family horn. stay cool…unca jack
This May has apparently been one of the hottest ever, while last May was one of the rainiest ever…not sure which is better.
Maybe we’re heading into the summer doldrums at the org. I hope folks check in now and then to post what they’re up to.
I’m preparing to install an update to the site’s WordPress software soon, so now would be a great time to let me know about anything I can do to improve the site. –Isaac

Hey, the site is perfect….can’t imagine a better venue. We are so fortunate to have such a great tool for the family to stay in touch. Wish more would contribute, but it’s great to have what we have, eh? I need to get captpete.com to be so interactive….my clients would love to be able to do this! I haven’t had much time to do anything, much less post stuff, but Debra will keep you posted and Jack’s post was great…..ditto from our end….great weekend!
