hey all…

the boys each had a friend over for a spend-the-night, but it was fairly mellow (compared to the last one where we had 8 of ‘em). cheri and i tried to watch “once upon a time in mexico” (despite jon’s warnings), but we realized about 10 minutes in that the plot/storyline/continuity were aimless/disjointed/pointless (which was pretty much what jon had told us). there were, as he’d mentioned, moments that were engaging and well constructed, but then it cuts abruptly to an unrelated scenario that left us wondering, “was that a flashback, or…?” anyhow, the previews (and the cast) make it sound/look VERY appealing…the title, however, should have been: MAD MAGAZINE, THE MOVIE (IN MEXICO!)…

hey all…

been a busy start to ‘04, but we’ve been lucky to take (and make) a little time for fun, too. jon, lisa, nathan and marina were here last weekend, and the highlight was a sled outing to balto-seppala park (over by jon and lisa’s house on scarlett).

cheri took some great pictures and digital movies with her new camera…i got a few, too, with mine. attached here is what would qualify for a covershot on “sled-shredder weekly”…pretty amazing shot of jon going off a jump at balto-seppala…

Happy Birthday Pete…wow…lotsa 5’s and 2’s today…a numerologist would have a freakin’ blast! Let’s see, you were born in ‘52, you ARE 52 and today’s 2-5. hey, wait…it’s 2 minutes till five (that wasn’t planned, but seriously, i just glanced at my watch and that’s what time it IS right now). there were 7 kids in our family which is (what else?) 5 + 2, and mom was HOW tall? yup, 5-2. yikes. pretty spooky.

anyhow, really glad yanmar came through with a nice early birthday present there…that was the best news we’ve heard all week. hope you have a GREAT birthday…sorry about the off-key “happy birthday” on your recorder. enjoy! love, jack

hey…been a looooooong while since i’ve posted. just the way ‘04 has been so far, and it’s just been tough to swing over to the org. apparently i’m not alone in that challenge. anyhow, i HAVE enjoyed recent posts from lisa and debra and tried to keep up on comments. the new AND old pics have been fun!

looking forward to a good game today. i like the patriots a lot…they’re my favorite AFC team (used to be second favorite following the seahawks). i think they’re gonna prevail today, but carolina looked VERY strong in the play-offs, and the panthers DID beat the patriots by 3 in overtime this year. anyhow, i think (HOPE) it’s gonna be competitive. delhomme reminds me of brady when he broke in, and a little of favre (especially with the cajun connection). would love to see new england win by scoring the winning TD in the last couple minutes.
