Hey All:
It proved to be a most fruitful week with visits to as many of you as we could reach, culminating with the party at Dan and Kelli’s on Saturday. Want to thank them for hosting the event, which I’m sure is a major undertaking this time of year. Their house is just down the hill from where Sandy and Susie’s Mom, Evelyn grew up.learned that Andrew is quite proficient on the guitar. Dan and Kelli have been very creative with the interior of their home and it inspired us to get some paint that isn’t white. Missed those that didn’t make it, but maybe next year. Was great to be able to make it to Markay and Garry’s to visit with them and the grandkids….they are an active couple! Kurt and Ericka came for dinner Monday night. Got to go to the Market with Isaac and lunch at Ivar’s. Spent the night at Deb and Willy’s, so got to catch up with Will and Katie. Will’s girlfriend, Jacque, seems to fit right in. Katie didn’t make it to the party, as she was busy getting ready to move into a condo up near Capitol Hill, I think. Willy had to go to school in Florida, so we missed him in Portland, too. Ben arrived Wednesday night, so he, Isaac, and I headed for LaConner on Thursday to visit Jeanne. She has a bit of a flu bug, so had decided against travelling south. Was a good visit and I was impressed with the progress of her art. As I learn to use the macro part of our new camera, I’ll post a few images of my favorites. She has a series of cards available of her new stuff. Made it out to Goldbar after the big windstorm and all seems cozy there. They have a whole herd of yellow labs, so I felt at home. Henry (Hank) looks to be a young Roy. Wish I could have seen the garden in bloom there, as it is impressive. Young Pete gave up his room for Ben and I….got a great nights sleep. Priss was making baklava for the party. Stopped by Deb’s on Friday night after Debra returned from Idaho and she, too was baking cookies. Sure do appreciate everyone’s effort and hospitality. Sorry we didn’t do a group shot at the party, but we did get photo’s of everyone’s head (thanks Pete). Will post them as I can. Love you all, Pete
