Holidazed…

hey all…

despite the big snow dumps this past week, it’s good to be home after our stint in atlanta. nice to visit the org and see new posts…fun to see new posts from lisa and pete, and it sounds like mandi and isaac had a gourmet thanksgiving according to mandi’s latest. next time, include pics of some of those dishes…on a couple of them, i haven’t a clue as to what you guys were ingesting. ha!

though travelling wasn’t fun the day after thanksgiving, sure glad we’ve got the weekend after our trip to get ready for next week. lots to do, and we got a few things scratched off the list today. we had a great time in atlanta…saw an nba game (raptors-hawks) and an nfl game (falcons-titans). though the atlanta teams lost both, it was really fun to get good seats to a couple of pro games…the hawk game went into overtime, and vince carter definitely lived up to all those highlights i’ve seen on sportscenter over the years…he took the game over in the 4th quarter and pretty much took it away all by himself.

sure hope the gathering next weekend is warm and fun. really wish we could make it down, but it just wasn’t in the cards this year. we’ll definitely be making a trip or two to seattle in ‘04…hard for us to go down there unless we can spend at LEAST a week. we’re hoping to take in a couple mariners games next year, too. am attaching a group pic from thanksgiving day at cheri’s sister’s house (teresa) in atlanta. (left to right) tom (cheri’s dad), anne (mom), doug (brother-in-law), aunt mary (anne’s sister), teresa (cheri’s sister), sam (hercules), cheri (the babe), jake (the tongue) and yours truly)

happy holidays to you all, and big hugs all around!

love, jack/dad/grampa

Hey, that is a good lookin’ group! Those are slacks on you and cargo shorts for Tom….by golly, he and Anne look GOOD! That climate must hold promise, as Doug looks like a young man, too….don’t think I’ve met him, have I? Well, we are pretty well packed….got a box of goodies in the freezer ready to grab and did a little ironing (and I mean a LITTLE)Hope Markay is ready for me, because I will be at her doorstep sometime around ten PM Sunday night. Well, you guys have a great week and hope you are able to keep up with the snowfall. We had zero-zero here at noon, but cleared in the evening. Got an additional two inches of dry fluff. Bought a new heater for the upstairs beadroom today, mostly anticipating Mandi;s arrival, but will make the guestroom experience more comfortable for all. Either way on the shopping trip….always a pleasure to have you. Love, Pete
