Email updates

I got tired of checking in at wedin.org and finding nothing new, so I’ve set up a mailing list that sends an email when the site is updated. To subscribe, send an empty email to updates-subscribe@wedin.org. It’ll send you a confirmation, and once you reply to that you’re all set. If this sounds confusing but you’re still interested in getting updates, let me know and I’ll get you set up. –Isaac

Good idea, Isaac. I have wedin.org as our homepage (when I open Explorer) and then I just scan through to see if there is new activity. It’s hard to remember how many comments there were to a particular post, so your new system will save some backtracking. Was so cool to see the comment from Markay….hope she gets all registered. We are hoping to get a digital camera soon, too. Beautiful day here….was outside all day and got off early, so am enjoying a warm view as the sun begins to set. Am headed off to Kodiak in one week, so we’ll be enjoying some of those backstraps before you know it! Love, Dad

This doesn’t subscribe you to comments on messages, just the messages themselves. Posters already get notified of new comments to their own messages, but I guess I could set it up so the updates subscribers get notified too. Problem will be avoiding sending out duplicate emails to posters who are also subscribers, but I’ll look into it.

All comments are scrutinized minutely by trained monkeys and thus may not appear right away. Logging in first may help you avoid their intense scrutiny, or you can try checking out the Comments section to take a turn at being a monkey yourself.
