Chat

There’s now a chat application set up at wedin.org/chat. To actually get a session going, email and/or post a date and time (with time zone) you’d like to do it. We could also set up a regularly scheduled time on some day of the week if you’d like.

    Hey All…

Can’t recall the last conversation I had with someone in the family that didn’t include a, “sure miss you guys!” And, since we don’t connect as often as I’d like, it seems there are always a few surprises that remind me that I’m pretty out of touch with everyone. Geez, I feel out of touch sometimes with family here in Alaska, nevermind the rest of us from Lynnwood to Hemet.

So…this new chat feature Isaac’s created at wedin.org might be great fun, and short of a REAL reunion, it could be the next best thing. I like Isaac’s idea of a regularly scheduled session, but don’t know if a weekly scenario is going to be practical for everyone…depends on current events and the time of year, I guess.

Anyhow, I think the chat thing could work really well for exchanging family news, upcoming events, and anything else appropriate for general family consumption. Since it’s an open forum, any of us could review what’s going on with the rest of the family from time to time, and add thoughts, too. So, whether a session involved two or TWENTY-two of us, it’d be a “tell one, share with all” dialogue.

Anyhow, I’d be up for regularly scheduled wedin.org gatherings…one suggestion would be to try the first Saturday of every month at two p.m. (Pacific Time)…or something like that.

After procrastinating for a couple years, I’m going to start using wedin.org as i have time…it’s a great resource for sharing pictures, family updates and real-time conversations.

Hope the rest of you agree!

    Love, Jack
